You and your pool. lol. They apparently forgot to fix anything related to it, because it always seems to bite you somehow. Time for a treadmill.

I gave up on the pool. The insane sims didn't seem to fish in it when left on their own anyway.

I built them a brand new house. With a treadmill. :D

Hi. I read the agreement when creating my account, and saw nothing about thread necromancy. If that is a violation, I am sorry.
I looked around a bit at the guide (which is awesome, by the way) but I was looking for a specific list of lots with the Beautiful Vista moodlet, which I sadly did not find.
So I bring you a list of lots from Sunset Valley. This is what I've found in my game:

2500 Pinochle Point
2350 Pinochle Point

230 Redwood Pkwy (Crumplebottom)
250 Redwood Pkwy (Wagner's Repose)
180 Redwood Pkwy
130 Redwood Pkwy
100 Redwood Pkwy

1 Sun Song Ave (Wan-Goddard)
3 Sun Song Ave (Myrtle Bungalow)
5 Sun Song Ave (Ursine)
7 Sun Song Ave (Frio)
9 Sun Song Ave

433 Sunnyside Blvd (Koffi)
455 Sunnyside Blvd (Unabridged)
477 Sunnyside Blvd
500 Sunnyside Blvd (Wolff)

180 Wright Way (Cormorant)
120 Wright Way (Shearwater)

15 Summer Hill Court
10 Summer Hill Court (Landgraab)
20 Summer Hill Court (Alto)

Values of the moodlet vary. Of course, the Summer Hill Court lots have a +30, while I believe the Pinochle Point lots have around +10 or so. Those with parentheticals notate lots with a house built in the pre-made hood, or family. Be wary of bulldozing! However, ModTheSims has a program that adds the Vista moodlet to any lot, but I've just decided not to get the program and do things the hard way.
Riverview has very few lots with the Beautiful Vista moodlet. This is what I've found:

1 Remington Point (Jones)

509 Farmer Valley Road (Newbie)

360 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Wilson)
365 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Beaux Chateau)
340 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Lessen)
345 Riverblossom Hills Drive
320 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Shallow)
300 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Grisby)

So... there it is. Fill free to delete this post if it's not up to par, or I just epically failed at searching. This is my first, and I usually just look at your guide, not the forum.
I usually don't post much on forums, but if I find anything else interesting, I'll try to do so competently.

Welcome to our Forum, immortelleMuse!

I'm not sure how this is thread necromancy, but thanks for the information!  This may be something Carl would like to add to the guide.

No, there's nothing like that written down anywhere I've ever seen. And in any case you won't get poked with sharp sticks for accidental violations like you do at MATY. :D

Anyway, this is great! I do love that moodlet. :)

Okay, my Sim in Egypt is annoying me for all kinds of reasons right now so I need a break from that. I'm going to go through this list and find what the exact values are, that would be cool to have for the guide. I know I want that list.

---------------------------------------------------
List done. I also included the prices for the unoccupied lots since I was looking things up anyway.

Sunset Valley:

2500 Pinochle Point; 10; 3.200
2350 Pinochle Point; 10; 1.800

230 Redwood Pkwy (Crumplebottom); 25
250 Redwood Pkwy (Wagner's Repose); 25; 125.012
180 Redwood Pkwy; 20; 5.400
130 Redwood Pkwy; 20; 5.400
100 Redwood Pkwy; 15; 3.000

1 Sun Song Ave (Wan-Goddard); 15
3 Sun Song Ave (Myrtle Bungalow); 15; 24.201
5 Sun Song Ave (Ursine); 15
7 Sun Song Ave (Frio); 15
9 Sun Song Ave; 15; 2.700

433 Sunnyside Blvd (Koffi); 25
455 Sunnyside Blvd (Unabridged); 25; 148.618
477 Sunnyside Blvd; 25; 6.800
500 Sunnyside Blvd (Wolff); 30

180 Wright Way (Cormorant); 15; 78.951
120 Wright Way (Shearwater); 15; 48.946

15 Summer Hill Court; 30; 14.700
10 Summer Hill Court (Landgraab); 30
20 Summer Hill Court (Alto); 30

Riverview:

1 Remington Point (Jones); 35

509 Farmer Valley Road (Newbie); 15

360 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Wilson); 30
365 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Beaux Chateau); 25; 170.311
340 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Lessen); 25
345 Riverblossom Hills Drive; 20; 14.700
320 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Shallow); 25
300 Riverblossom Hills Drive (Grisby); 25

-----------------------------------------------------

I also tried bulldozing Agnes Crumplebottoms lot and moving in another Sim. The BV moodlet is still there. So I guess this bug of the disappearing moodlet has been fixed. :)

Great list, thanks immortelleMuse and PJ for doing the research.

Excuse my ignorance but what is 'thread necromancy'? It's not a term I've come across before.

I had never run across the term either. It's reviving old threads with a new post.

I don't know who originally coined the term, but probably some goth enthusiast. They could have gone the sci-fi route and called it Thread Reanimation. Or the horror route with Frankenthread. Okay, I'll stop now.

From Wikipedia:
Quote
Bumping old or inactive ("dead") threads is occasionally called "necroposting" or "thread necromancy", and the bumped posts referred to as "frankenposts".

 :D

Anyway, on some forums this is bad. On others it's the opposite.

Ha. I didn't even look at the wiki article when I threw out the Frankenthread term.

Thanks for the info.  On this Forum, it's fine to revive an old thread.  I figure, just because it's old doesn't mean it's no longer valid and if someone has something to add or another question to ask...  then absolutely do so!

Good, because not only am I doing that right now, I tend to do it a lot.  Do they get the beautiful view/vista moodlet if they are inside with no windows?

With no windows, sims will NOT get the BV moodlet. In a house with windows, Sims will only get the moodlet in rooms that have windows facing outward.

From my experience,  they need at least one window to get the moodlet.  I haven't done extensive testing, though.
