I'm having some trouble thinking of book titles for my sims to write and was wandering what are your favorite titles to use.

When I don't feel like being creative I just take the random one that is given!

I do that to but it keeps giving me the same title over and over again.

If I have a Sim who spends most of the time writing, I usually just name the books by genre and number.  For example, the first Children's book would be C1, then C2, etc.  Similarly, if the Sim writes Masterpieces, they get named M1, M2, etc.  Since the Skill Journal keeps track of how many of each genre the Sim has written, this system is easy.  Boring, but easy.   :D

You could do it Pam style, naming every book "waiting for midnight" "midnight" "what happened at midnight" etc.
Or you could do it metro style, making jokes with all of them.

If I get the repeated titles, I'll change one word. One of the random titles in Children's, for example, is "Everybody Has A Bladder". I'll then write "Everybody Has A Spleen", "Everybody Has A Pancreas", "Everybody Has A Big Toe", etc.

I just use whatever's there. If there's a repeat, the game prompts me to change it, so if I get Gem Quest twice, the second one automatically gets renamed to Gem Quest 2.
Or, if I'm going for a particular theme, I'll make stuff up on the spot. My favourite one of all time was a humour novel called "Metro's Knock Knocks".

I use titles relating to what's happening in the sims lives. So titles I have used for my elderly sim include "Caneless", "Pirouette", "Stepmom", "Cat and Dog", "Slumber Party"...

I have a professional author who is also a vampire.  Everything she writes has either blood, fangs or death in the title...Dripping Fangs, My Blood Death, Fangs of Life, etc.  Makes for an interesting bookcase. :D

I make up titles according to personality sometimes. If the sim is a flirt and/or hopeless romantic I have them do romance books with titles from songs, such as : "I'll be there for you" (Bon Jovi song) ; "Love me Tender" (Elvis song), etc.

i'd rather make book with actual event or what happen in your life. exp: Romantic novel : 1st love, 1st kiss, etc.. Drama : Smallvill Sesason 1 etc

I always go for spoofs.  I did an entire 7 part Larry Planter series for my children's book author.  I had a fantasy novelist do a trilogy: Brotherhood of the Bracelet, A couple of Towers, Hey the King's back! Sometimes I take a word and try to come up with every single possible combination.

When I was writing for the writers challenge, I came up with names based on dynasties on the forums each getting their own series.  I also broke down in one of my test files and just gave the books numbers for names.   ;D

I am always trying to get my current boyfriend interested in The Sims, so I get him involved by naming things in the game for me. Book titles, children, litters of puppies, etc. It takes the pressure off of me, and the bookshelf is definitely interesting. Examples:
The Tales of Sir Leopold Squigglebottom -Mystery/Fiction/Children's
Forest Babes - Romance
Into the Belly of the Burger - Cooking book (Non-Fiction)
Check out my app "Equestrian Center - Horse Guide for The Sims 3:Pets" for iPhone and iPad. Everything you need to know to adopt, befriend, train, breed, and sell your horses. All about Unicorns too! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/equestrian-center-horse-guide/id482247698?mt=8&uo=4

'Comedy' versions of real books normally:  Sci-fi novels called "Aye, Robot" or "The Diary of Anne Droid" for instance.
