Dear Journal,
Happy Birthday! Its my little Princesses birthday! She is turning 5! I am so excited!
Butler made a lovely cake and mom and Vander preformed for Velvet.
Me and mom both have amazing singing voices that are pure 1940's sounding. Vander tapped his fingers on the piano and play a popular island sound call "Growing..." The lyrics are
Growing up....
You and I...
Day by day...
Time floats away...
Like butterflies
Way way up in the sky
Taking me away----
Birthdays come and go
once a year
you never know
Aging and growing....
growing up you and I
We learn little by little
and make strides
and baby steps
Day by day!!!
or abc
we will learn
and grow
and dream
You and I
It was a slow sound and moms voice echoed in the house and the grand piano dinging and chimed.
We all clapped when they finished and it was time for her to grow up...
She has my hair and her father's dark brown eyes. She is a quirky little 5-year-old. I brought her to Susu's and let her pick out everything! She picked white tights with green polka dots a striped shirt and green skirt. And I wrote a check for it... Susu even tied her hair in pig-tails with satin bows.
My little princess. Since she is a child now their is a big festival in the park for her! How exciting. The Festival is tomorrow...
But now I have to tell Vander about his mother...
I sat him down on the sofa.
"Vander?" I said softly
"Yes my dear?" he said back.
"I have news about your mother..."
"You do! Oh how is she!" he gasped
"Well you see, I wanted to send her here and she was on her way when she got the Ginko's Flu..."
"Oh no! No... NO!" he said tears bubbling up.
"I am so sorry but she has passed" I said hugging him.
He was in shock for the rest of the night and had sat outside in the garden all night long.
I brought him a quilt and cup of hot coffee then left him to mourn.
