The Journal of Sterling Rose: Final Chapter (Story Complete)
« on: November 25, 2011, 07:59:33 PM »
Hello Everyone! Let me give you a little summery of what I plan for this story: Sterling Rose is a rich elegant Sim who lives in an industrial booming town, many of the upper-class Sims like Sterling are feed up with the ugly factories everywhere.  Few of them signed up for the voyage across the ocean to Sunset Valley to begin their new lives, this is the journal entries of Sterling Rose from over 100 Sim years ago that explain the crazy trip she took!  Feedback is MUCH appreciated.
__________________________________________________________________________
DAY ONE
Dear Journal,
Today I board the boat. This boat is making a voyage all the way to Sunset Valley and some of the richest Sims have the chance for a better living. I anticipate we travel on a large liner. I write from the train that is going the
Old Pier Bay. I am absolutely fascinated by this trip, we were ordered by the captain to only bring one trunk. I packed very few items which is quite unusual for me, I brought my journal, camera, clothing, 2 pairs of shoes scissors and a hat.  This long voyage will take 1 month to travel.  When I arrive at Sunset Valley I dream of starting a legacy and meeting a wonderful man.
I just got off the train and arrived at Old Pier Bay, I believe there has been a mistake... A small wooden boat is parked at the dock which is suppose to be the dock where i am boarding. I drunken man was waving at me, he yells "YOU! YOU THERE! Must be Roses?!?!?" I was horrified by the way he greeted me oh so rudely. Then he got his words straight "Golden? STERLING! Sterling Rose!!! Over here, you get on boat, we leaving soon..." he yelled
This couldn't be right!!! I will not ride on this unstable monster!
Here is the picture of this boat...

The boat was parked in a narrow water way. The other people waiting to board were looking horrified as well one lady was a wearing fancy glasses and a  traveling coat, like me. Other than the drunken man the only other people there was a business man in a suit and what looks too be the servant. "ALL ABROAD!!!" yelled the drunken man, i prayed he wasn't our captain. I asked he and he said some gibberish and then agreed. Oh Gosh no!!! We were gonna all die on this voyage, but i will not live here any longer so I must take that risk...
This is me Sterling Rose...

I loaded the boat.  The servant man walked me and the other lady in to the bottom level off the kitchen. Two small metal frame beds were shoved in the corner with access to the only bathroom on the boat. We had to share a dresser and a nightstand. There is only one word to describe this cabin "Disturbing".

I introduced my self to my cabin-mate.  She was having a fit over the conditions. The captain came running down to calm this insane women and she wouldn't, her temper grew more and more until the drunk captain pulled out a blow dart and shot the women with some medicine that made her pass out instantly.  I began to be concerned after i realized the man had drugs that could do that.

We finally pulled out of bay, my heart in my stomach... I walked onto the top deck up, I almost fell overboard when we began to pick up speed and the lack of railings at the top of the stairs made me stumble.

After much excitement today, I head to the lower level to eat some waffles and go to sleep.

Day Two
Dear Journal,
Last night was rough,  the waves i mean.  The boat was tossed around so much i almost fell out of bed.  In fact the wardrobe did fall over but we left it there so no one would get crushed. I feel a bit sea sick... Breakfast this morning was far from what the chef usually prepared back home. I stay down in my bed most of the time to avoid being shook up to much. The other lady on the boat is name Lady VanBuren and is apparently quite rich, as am i.  I mostly spend my days dreaming about my new life.  I hate to confess but I think the servant boy is quite hansom. But that would never work, a rich lady could never marry a poor Sim in this day and age.  I have never spoken to him, perhaps i shall tomorrow. There is not much to take a picture off so I wont wast my film.
Well i believe its time for me to rest so... Goodnight.

Day Three
Dear Journal,
I have gotten use to this rough waves now and am feeling must better. The other man on the boat is named Steven Longhorn, a rich CEO that is looking to move his bicycle company to Sunset Valley.  I found him quite interesting by the way he talks about "Green" power, which I believe will never catch on I mean seriously the  automobile craze has just started, and he is trying to find an alternative? And I do love being driven around in my white convertible. Steven is quite interested in me but I am not interested in him, I want to raise a big family and estate but he doesn't see like a family man. Anyway I did strike up a conversation with the servant boy when no one was around, what a sweet man!  He talks about his old mother back home that he had to leave to earn money to feed the family.  Oh how I love this man more and more but I still fight the fact of what my family back home will think of me marring a servant boy, they all want a man like Steven to be my husband.
And don't even get me started when I was trying to take a picture of the tipped over wardrobe when the camera was on a timer Steven grabbed my arm, posed with me and the picture was snapped! A could take another because I would wast film... here it is..,

Horrifying! We are certainly  not a couple! Oh dear I hope know one saw that! Better hide the journal...

Day 4
Dear Journal,
The name of the servant boy is Vander, but I do not recall his last name. Any way, we chat in secret. Oh I must tell you about today! So I came up the stairs this morning un aware that it was extremely windy, It was early and I was half asleep and very foolish to walk so very close to the edge where there wasn't any railing... I spotted Vander and acted like I didn't know him. I gust of wind made me stumble and I tripped over myself, wobbled on the edge of the boat preparing to fall in when Vander grabbed me and pulled me back into the boat.

That's when our eyes met and I felt something I had never before... I think its called true love?

Day 5
Dear Journal,
LAND AHOY! Well it may not be our final destination, but the captain said we had to stop at a small island so we could stretch our legs and so he could check the boat for cracks. But we wouldn't be arriving there for a day.  I can  bare to think I was in love with a Servant boy,  what will my mother and father think?!? Oh now I feel sick! I finally feel in love but its not the rich business man I had envision.

What to do! Oh I am so very confused!!!!!!!!

Day 6
Dear Journal,
I finally planted my feet on land!  Its been 5 long days until I have been on land.  The first thing I do is run onto shore and get far away from everyone. Vander caught up with me. He asked why I have been avoiding him lately and I told him about the rich V.S poor thing... And he said he had heard about that.  Then he suggested we have a secret relationship because he loves me... I said it would work. We were all alone now.

And soon we were kissing...
And when he heard the 5 minute warning... well I rather not say what happened  ;)
And then after we finished we were engaged, SHHHHHH!

At this day and age you NEVER have a relationship with a servant boy if your rich and its unheard of getting married to one! I just pray that no one finds out!

Day 7
Dear Journal,
Oh it is so unbearable! I can't even smile at him... Lady VanBuren is such a gossiping snoop! Ugh!!! I was almost caught today... Vander was in the bathroom and I walked in which is not bad if your a couple... I shut the door behind me so no one could see and took my shower. On my way out though I was so very careless and Lady spotted me and then she piped up when I walked out  "Did I see the Servant boy in there, WITH YOU?"  I had to think quick! So I said "Oh yes he was helping shut off the water, I was clothed of course!". Then she carried on.  That was so close!
Oh last night I had the worst sleep! I woke up extremely queasy and had thrown up in the bathroom.

What could have caused this? I am not quite sure but it was most likely sea sickness... Lady told me to stay in bed for the day so I did... Oh what a hot day it was though! The lower deck was so stuffy!  I begged to go onto the top deck for some fresh air.

I put on a light sundress and sunglasses so I would be comfortable.
Can't wait for sundown, then the air will be cooler...
Oh only 23 more days on this wretched ship!

Dear Journal,

I slipped Vander a note with the words "I'm Pregnant" on it. I have the feeling Lady is on to me...

Last night when I was crawling into bed Lady was reading... this is the dialog between us
L: Oh, Sterling!   A new nighty?
S.R: Oh, yes it is thanks for noticing...
L: Darling you have been acting strange lately... Whats wrong dear?
S.R: Oh me? Ummm Well I'm feeling a bit queasy nothing much...
L: Oh Well your stomach is looking bloated...
S.R: Yes I am but I must go to sleep now I'm exhausted...
L: Night dear...
She is very snoopy...

It's a beautiful but sad love story. Hope that Sterling will overcome her fear of being caught or better yet throw caution in the wind and announce her engagement. Can't wait for more.
