Saving a house
« on: November 24, 2011, 01:19:12 AM »
Is there any way to save a house, rather than an entire lot? I just designed a little house, basically a beautiful nursery with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom attached to it, but I built it on much too large a lot and would rather not need to build it over from zero.

Sorry but I don't think that is possible.

Unfortunately, no. You can place a house and lot on a larger lot, but you can't place them on smaller lots.

Like others have said, it's not possible. I've thought of the same question and tried to come up with an answer.

Best answer I can offer is to get some graph paper and sketch it out, and rebuild on a smaller lot. I've done this with a lot of my favorite houses I've built. I've also taken smaller house sketches and rebuilt them on bigger lots so I could add garden and/or play areas.

Sketching out houses on graph paper also helps if you find you want to "turn" your house to face a different direction. For example, the original house is facing the street, but you don't want your rebuilt house facing that direction, just turn it which ever direction and start rebuilding it.

I hope this helps some :)
