My magical gnomes have appeared again right after installing the patch, too ;D . They had disappeared several game weeks before and i had already given up hope of ever seeing them again. Now they just came back like nothing happened and jump around the lot every night ::) .

I've been selling mine.  I let them stay around for awhile, but they got too annoying.

I like the creepiness, I lost count of how many Gnomes the Character Family have, nearly 10 I think.

I have a lot more than ten, about 8 hanging around, and more than twenty in my sim's inventory. I think I may not have caught and packed them all before my sims moved house, but I'm not fussed cause I have many of the same kind. Those pics are cute. We should like collect pics of the different poses.

He looks mad in this shot, do not remember if I have seen this pose before.  I think he is mad because I keep moving him around.  I find this guy everywhere, and they don't seem to stop moving.

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  I just found a story on the CBC Saskatchewan website entitled "Stolen Gnome back in Saskatoon after Atlantic Tour."  The story explains that the gnome disappeared while the family was away from home.  It re-appeared a month later with a bag of photographs showing the gnome in various locations in Atlantic Canada.  The gnome's owner also noted that the gnome's shoes were slightly scuffed.

Now we know why gnomes sometimes disappear - they go on vacation!  :D

How funny - I looked this up and it said the gnome also came home with a souvenir plate from Shediac, New Brunswick.  Thanks so much for sharing - I am still laughing! ;D

I love it!!  I've heard of this happening with garden gnomes, people steal them and then send them letters (from the gnomes) with photos in various places (overseas, local, national!) I've never heard of the gnome "coming home with a bag of souvenirs", or even "coming home"!!

:D

That's great Pie! Maybe those pics will end up in the guide someday :)
To continue your conversation from the wierd thread: yes I guess you could call me a collector fanatic. I have all but 1 type of skull gems, and I'm finishing off my collections of relics, large metal ingots and insects. As for gnomes, I still need the laundry (bear) gnome and the mechanical gnome. I found the troglodite (caveman) gnome and the sculpture gnome at the consignment shop. And I collected heaps of chinese, french and egyptian gnomes by smelting metals and cutting gems in those countries.

Yay! Me too! I love collecting and finishing collections on Sims 3. I'm not very far when it comes to collecting relics but I'm ok with the other stuff. I'm gonna start a topic on it quickly before Pam or Metro tell us we're not supposed to talk here.  ;D
I especially want to see how other people display their collections.

I'm sorry folks, but we're not going to have a thread for more pictures at this time.  It's already been discussed amongst the moderator team it's agreed that we need to keep our focus more on gameplay discussions and not on having random picture galleries.  The building showboat thread and the weird pics thread are the main threads for posting pictures and it's going to stay that say for now.

Thanks!
