Lynley1248's Comment:

"There were so many wonderful entries!  Thanks to everyone who voted for my house.   I really love European homes, so I was really excited about this contest. And was so glad I made the deadline.  When thinking of European-inspired houses, I always picture grand and elegant, so I wanted a home that looked both elegant and spacious without being too large and empty.  I also knew from the start that I wanted to incorporate stone, brick, and stucco.  It took several different tries, but I was really happy with what I finally came up with.  The hardest part for me was trying to keep it in budget.  It was probably one of my favorite houses to build."

Congrats Lynley! This thread is now open for comments for those who wish to receive it. I apologize for the delay.

Congratulation Lynley! I love your house(s), and this one was really beautiful, true representative of your work!
I'd like to congratulate to everyone, it was really great seeing all different styles everyone came up as an association to "European". Also, a special congratulation on a wonderful submission to a member I haven't seen around - messdnys.
I'm looking for comments and constructive criticism!
Thanks to everyone who voted for my house, I was honestly shocked it got so many votes :o.

Congratulations Lynley and everyone who entered the contest!  All of the entries were so elegant and lovely, it was hard for me to pick only 3 to vote for.

Anushka, I can't find anything to critique on your house - it is absolutely beautiful inside and out!  I love your use of a muted palette - it gives such an air of sophistication.  I also love how you have placed many objects at angles to the room (e.g., master bedroom) - it keeps the rooms feeling fresh and contemporary.

Also, feel free to request a home by PMing me! Always happy to help.

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Thanks everyone!  I would appreciate any feedback.

Anushka--I loved your home.  It was beautifully done.  It is the type of house I could see myself wanting to buy in real life.  The interior was lovely, as well.

Zapkid--I loved yours, as well.  It had a interesting exterior and a great floor plan.  I also liked the colors you used on the interior.  It really is a fantastic build.
