Fishing glitches since Pets

I haven't had any trouble fishing with bait since getting Pets. However, any Sim that travels loses all the fish in his or her inventory when coming home. This has happened twice, in two different games. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't know that this would be related to Pets because it's two separate expansion packs.  There have been numerous travel bugs and this might just be another one.

Happened to me today.  Had a lovely bunch of koi I was going to put in a pond but when we got home, they were gone as were the lovely butterflies.

Did you try going back to a save during your trip and then putting the fish and butterflies in one of the chests to see if it came through that way?

It won't work. My sim had her fish in a chest, and they were all gone when we brought it home. I lost almost my entire stock of deathfish that way, except for the two I had breeding in an aquarium.

No.  There were four Sims on the trip and each of them had fish and butterflies.  ONE butterfly came through out of the six caught.  Gems and metals came through fine as did paintings the kids did while away.  Usually paintings don't travel well.  Oh, the red  assassin bugs came through ok too.

I had the same problem with the fish. (after installing pets)

My pet Cockatoo came through just fine...

Also has anyone been able to order the omni seeds since the expansion? I know its off topic but I still get the option to order on the mailbox and then when my sim goes to do it the action just cancels...

Quite off topic but just cancel that action before they get to the mailbox and it will work.

I've had the fishing glitch ( the bait option didn't work) and it helped to move to a new town. It doesn't have to be a different town. In my case it was Hidden Springs. I copied the household and started a new Hidden Springs. It solved the problem.

My Sim just returned from France with 20 frogs, 11 crawfish and 10 snails.  All were there on return to Bridgeport.  Fish still show up as invisible and once or twice had to get rid of the Red Herrings and Rainbow Trout that were caught to keep my Sim on track for the frogs and others.

Hi,
The bug "Fish go missing after traveling" is in official list of bug for pets.
"The ErrorTrap" correct this and some other bug related to travel. [Edit by Carl: No links to mod sites, if you really want it, use google]

I have the problem of not being able to fish with bait.  I'm pretty certain I've also lost fish while traveling.  This is something Electronic Arts will have to fix in a patch.

Yes, lost all the fish I caught while travelling. So, in order to make frog legs, had to put frogs in the ponds back home.
