Gems, metal other collectables

Just wondering (sorry if this is a repeat post) were there any new bugs, butterflies, gems, metal, fish, seeds that came out with Pets?

The only thing I have seen (so far) that is new is there are now carrots you can plant. You can buy them at the grocery store.

I know there is a new cut for a gem, the star cut.

According to the Prima Guide, there's nothing new except for what's already been mentioned above.

As mentioned earlier there is a new cut, Star, which comes after brillient.

The only new collectibles that came with pets is the different minor pets your sim and cat can find.

The minor pets don't count in the collectibles skill journal.  You'd just have to collect them and keep track of them yourself.
