I have a question about the Sims 3 patch 1.02 (ps3)

I already had a game going on when I finally downloaded the patch. If I make a new game, do I have to save over this game to make the new game version 1.02? Or is every new game I start gonna be version 1.02 since I downloaded the patch?

Every new game will be at the 1.02 patch level. The patch is universal to all saved games.

Every new game will be saved with patch 1.02. When you load a previous game and save it, it will also be saved at patch 1.02. Should you move the saved game to another console that doesn't have the patch installed, it's likely the save will not load until the game has been updated. It's the way most games (console or PC) work.
