There are loads of new books but to make a list of them would take forever. There are Book Merchants which sell, fishing bait books, new recipes, normal books and a few skill books. Books are unique to each destination.

Welcome to our Forum, pbrover!

I'm not sure what you mean by "the two add ons."  Exactly what sort of list of books are you looking for?

If you mean skill books, WA gave us 1 photography book, 1 martial art book, and 3 wine nectar making books.

There are also 8 recipe books and 3 or 4 fishing books in WA.

HELS just gave us stuff, no new skill books.

No. That skill book is limited to Egypt.

Darn. My Sim, Mercedes Rivera, bought it in Egypt, but it was gone when she returned to Sunset Valley.  I don't know where it went?  Is this a glitch?

Lost luggage?   ;)

Watch out when buying books. Sims have a habit of putting books away during vacation. Sometimes on the floor or in a bookshelf.

Check your family inventory, too.  Sometimes they turn up there for no apparent reason.  And yes, they are notorious for losing books by laying them down or putting them away.

If you have Ambitions, sometimes skill books from other countries will show up in the consignment store.

Hey Metro, you can get the photography book in consignment shop, but, if you see it, you need to grab it, because it may not show up again, plus I saw a recipe book for frog legs too and went ahead and bought it.

In answer to your question, no, Carls Guides does not have a list of all the skill books.

The names of the books aren't very important. They come in three levels, and can get you all the way to level 10. You can buy handiness, logic, gardening, charisma, inventing, and cooking books. Purchase recipes and fish bait as well. There are books for the world adventures skills too, and like someone said they can be bought at the consignment shop sometimes. In general I shy away from books as the best practice often comes from doing. When you actually perform the tasks, like cook a dish, or do some gardening, you're working toward challenges.

Also making a little money for your effort!  And even helping the community in some cases.  *cheer*  My Sim with cooking regularly participates in the neighborhood grill-a-thons.

Although, just for the sake of getting a skill maxed, I wonder if a Sim with the bookworm trait could get to level 10 the quickest?
