Have you tried the reset all sims thing I posted about in here? If things are still moving when he freezes, it sounds like the same thing I had with it. This fixed it =)

Yeah, they do. I think the problem might be my graphics card overheating. I tried to Edit Town and the resetsim * and it seems the problem persists. Strange :/

I get it all the time in Hidden Springs and there seems to be nothing to do to fix it other than shutting down the game and coming back tomorrow.  I've noticed it seems less then for some reason.

Hidden Springs seems to be a very buggy world. Shame on EA! Anyways I've been getting the lag thing every 10s while fishing in China and it was driving me crazy. I used to reset cheat and it stopped. I'm thinking about moving my Sim to an another town :/

China's problem is notoriously due to pathing issues with one of the properties up in the mountains.  I think it might be the same for Hidden Springs but I cannot find the issue to correct it.

I play on a Mac and occasionally notice the same issue. I'm pretty sure mine is a graphics card issue even though my card is supported. Yours might just be a graphics issue as well. Good luck! :)

I've been noticing this happening to me lately too. Last night it was so bad though, it was happening every few minutes so I just stopped playing. Everything still continues moving an the green plumbobs still spin so I'm going to try @addicts advice and reset all the sims.

It works for a bit and then goes back where it started. For stuck cars use testingcheatsenabled on ->shift+click a car -> delete. That's what I did and it works.

I never had freezing issues in Sunset. Hidden Springs is nothing special so moving to Twinbrook or Bridgeport ain't a big deal. To be honest, Hidden Springs is more fail than I imagined :/ The whole Fountain of Youth part is not worth the problems with the game lagging :/

I think the main problem might be Generations. I don't remember the game freezing before I installed it :/ Can I safely uninstall Generations and still be able to use my saves?
More bugs showed up - after visiting China I "lost" a boardbreaker and a chest, which I bought in China's general store :/ I love this game but it's starting to be as buggy as Fallout. Everything would be OK if it didn't force me to start a new game!

I mentioned before in another thread - I have had issues in twinbrook with pathing issues that couldn't be fixed.  You can uninstall Generations but there is a bunch that you would be losing.  I would suggest just moving your sims to a new town if that's what you want to do.  Losing things coming back from China has happened off and on to me since I got World Adventures but more noticeably to others after Generations.  I thought the Pets patch supposedly fixed it.  And of course that problem will happen no matter what city you're living in.

Short answer: Yes you can uninstall Generations but it will not fix hidden springs or china with the pausing.

Don't you just love a "well coded" game? The previous 2 didn't have such bugs :/ I wonder if moving to an another town will fix my problems :/

I already said it most likely would.  I don't have problems in any other towns.  Just don't go to twinbrook as it may happen again but it is not guaranteed just like hidden springs.  In fact, I moved one family from one version of Hidden Springs to another and it doesn't get the pauses at all.

I think the pauses is random. I have it once in Sunset Valley. Nothing helped so I just move them to a new town. It's no big deal to me :)

The only problem would probably be placing all the clubs and bars on the map ;) BTW did you guys move the family or the family and their house?

Most of the time I only move the family, feel they must start over lol. But if you like your house you can move them with the house to the bin.
