Petite open-plan better-than-basic starter home - 1br, 1ba
« on: November 06, 2011, 07:53:48 AM »
This would be an ideal starter home for a artist or writer single sim.  The small size allows for higher grade comfort and utility items. This home provides moodlet boosts for well decorated, for comfortable seating, comfortable bed, etc. Non have been upgraded by handy skill, however non have yet broken so they haven't needed it.

Lot size:  20 x 30
Bedroom: 1
Bathroom: 1
Furnished cost: $14,504 placed on 9 Sun Song Ave [on 99 Landgraab Ave it's $13,604]
Unfurnished cost: $11,804
Items: LN/WA/Amb/Gen  - no store content

This is my first ever attempt at uploading a home so if I made any mistakes or forgot anything please be gentle with me.  ;)

I really like the house, Lesley. Is that a time machine on the wall across from the bed?

That wardrobe?  No time machine, sorry.   Glad you like the house though. Thanks

I love the way you build this darling house!  Imagine it on a 20x20 or smaller if possible lot and we're talking super cheap and everything great!  Love it.

There are a couple of ways to make it even cheaper.  Did you use 'pool wall" for wallpaper?  It is $3 instead of $5 and can be recolored with any patterns you have.  The bathroom sink can actually be the cheapest one of all or none whatsoever as they will use the kitchen sink for washing their hands and brushing teeth.  The wardrobe is really nice, but cost wise you could go with a recolored cheapo dresser and save some more money there which you could use for a plant or two to give that nicely decorated moodlet.  I'd also choose a lower priced bookshelf, though the one you chose if much more decorative.  With those small changes you might have enough money to get a cheapo tv for cooking, garden and sports channels for skilling.  TV would break fairly quickly but in my opinion not as important as that top of the line stove and frigerator you used!  Really good thinking on your part!
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
