Building Contest 6, 2011 - A Gothic/Vampire House - Open for Comments

Congratulations Twinmum! Your house was really gothic! Everyone elses was also extremely gothic!

Thanks to all who voted. I had fun building this one. When I read what it had to be I immediately imagined this sort of house on a hill hidden behind trees... maybe I've read a few too many Stephen King books lol. My original house was somewhat larger than this, but I couldn't furnish it and keep to the budget, so I kept having to take a little from here and a little from there, hence the name Little Grey. I might have to rebuild the original and share it as Big Grey!

I want to congratulate everyone on their entries. So many different ideas that I would never have thought of and so many talented decorators!

Feel free to comment on my house, I'd live to hear peoples thoughts on anything that could have been improved.

Yours was definitley one of my favourites, Twinmum, and a deserving winner! The exterior is just fantastic, I love the tower and verandah as well as the "garden". I only had a couple of issues - some details looked a little rushed (non-recoloured doors and furnishings, a back-to-front window in the dining room), and non-routable objects are a big no-no in my book. The good features far outweigh the flaws though, good job. 

My entry is also open to comments, as always.

I must admit I tend to forget to re colour doors and such. I really should address that more. I guess that all comes under decorating and I'll be the first to admit it is my weakest point. By non-routable objects do you mean the dining table middle chairs or did I miss something, I too don't like things I can't get to or use and I had thought that I had tested everything.
