Oakley Manor

Size: 40x30 or 30x40
Price Unfurnished: 52,491  Price Furnished: 74,975
Contents: Playing it safe and saying all expansions and stuff packs :)
FREE Content from Store includes: Weba Yayfoo, Earth Day, In the Dawn of Sims, Explorer's Loot and The Ultimate Career Bundle.

SassySimmer Estates would like to show you around this unusual property new to the market.  Oakley Manor is a 2 bedroom and 2 1/2 Bathroom.  It was originally owned by a Young couple who, as records show, lived in the house for over 50 years.  They moved away quite hastily due to an investigation at the hospital - but that does not concern us.  Anyway moving along.  I know it is none of my business, but any special reason as to why you wished to see the house at night?!  Ok the silent type, lets get on with the tour then.  The house has a lovely front yard with a pond (which I have been assured has fish but unfortunately they only come out at midnight I believe), please stay on the path, there are some odd plants called 'Death Flowers' that grow just outside of the front door, they are very peculiar and there is a car port also to the front of the property.  We do not need to go around back!

The first floor consists of the entrance vestibule, the entrance to the tower, living room, dining room, Kitchen and breakfast area, utility room and a small toilet room.  The living room could probably do with some more light fixtures fitting the previous owners had a sensitivity to light, this also accounts for the heavy drapes and lack of windows in most of the rooms.

The entrance

The living room

The dining room

The Kitchen / breakfast bar area

Ground floor floorplan

As we move to the first floor, the landing consists of an area which I believe was used to entertain guests, there is a bubble machine, chess table and sound system.  The first floor also has the first bedroom with ensuite.

First floor floorplan

The Master bedroom and ensuite bathroom is accessible via the tower entrance on the ground floor.  As you leave the tower you must walk across the rooftop to access the bedroom.  If you are overcome with inspiration of the sights you will see from this high up you can express this via an easel which has been placed.  Although from the outside it appears that the Master bedroom does have windows, when you enter they are not visible from the inside.  The Master bedroom has a fireplace for those cosy nights/days in.

Second floor floorplan

If you would like to take in the delights of Oakley Manor, please click the link which will give you instructions on how you can become the fine owner of this property.

Unfortunately at time of press the Estate Agent who showed the mystery gentleman around the property has disappeared, but please don't let that put you off!!

For Sale by Owner:  Raven House

Furnished:  $74,840
Unfurnished:  $37,912
Lot Size:  30 x 20
2 Bedrooms (sleeps 4), 2 Baths
Content:  Everything except Late Night

Welcome, friends!  How nice of you to come and view my home.   Yes, I am Josiah Raven, owner of this house.  My reason for selling?  Sadly, I am the last of my kind.  Last of the Ravens and last of the vampires in this town since all Late Night content mysteriously disappeared.  There are two parking spaces, so please put your car in one.

The skeleton?  He was my last butler.  The blighter just wouldn't stop cooking, you know, so I had to wall him up in the basement bar him from the kitchen and he just got thinner and thinner.  He likes to welcome my guests, but you don't have to shake hands with him if you'd rather not.

This is the back yard, perfect for enjoying a midnight swim or relaxing in the hot tub with that special someone.

Do come in.  Ah, I see you enjoying the scent of my roses.  They are the Blood-Red variety, you know.

Now, I think we'll start upstairs and work our way down.  First, the master suite:

This is where my butler used to sleep.  But I just can't seem to find a butler at all any more.  Sometimes I have a friend to spend the night, though.  After all, that drive back to town is very long.  Not always safe after dark.  You'd be welcome to stay.

The living room is very comfortable and cozy in the evening.  Red is such a lovely colour, don't you agree?  So ... life-affirming.  You have very rosy cheeks.

Here's the kitchen.  I hope you can stay for dinner.  I'm a very good cook, though I personally have to follow a liquid diet these days.

Here's the study.  Do you play chess?  Perhaps we can have a game after dinner.

I am a dedicated scientist, you know.  My laboratory is in the basement, away from prying eyes.

My, all this talking certainly makes me thirsty!  What about dinner?  Where are you going?  Wait! ... Does this mean you don't want to buy the house?

 Vampire’s Victorian, by Ausette

Lot Type: Residential, 2 br 1.5 ba
Lot Size: 20 x 30
Cost when placed on 20 x 30 lot: $69,356 ($39,718 unfurnished)
Contains Ambitions, Generations, Late Night and World Adventures content

The charmingly overgrown exterior of this restored Victorian cottage strikes a bold contrast with the surprisingly modern furnishings. The timeless design and windowless “bedroom” make this the perfect home for the vampire who doesn’t want to admit he’s a vampire.

^ This room is not a fire hazard at all.

Building Contest #6
Name: Little Grey
Lot Size: 40 x 40

Unfurnished price: 53,244
Bedrooms: 2
Bathrooms: 1 1/2

Set away from the road and hidden by trees, this Gothic Victorian house is ideal for the reclusive creature of the night. This two bedroom house even has a small basement to escape to away from the searing heat of the sun.

Notes about this house:
Although it is on a raised block, the original block was flat and the edges of the block are at their original height, so it can be placed on a flat block anywhere. I built it on the block at 64 Applewood Lane in Bridgeport because that secluded spot suited the feel I wanted for the house.

The floor mat and first bookcase on the right in the study were placed using moveobjects (to cover a hole in the floor over the staircase) and so, if you take them out (I suggest you leave at least the rug there) you will need to use the cheat to put them back. Because of the way they were placed, the bookcase is actually just for show and can't be used.

The long dining table was made using moveobjects and because of this, the middle two chairs are just for show and cannot be used. You can, however place things on the table in the middle, but I forgot to test if sims can interact with things placed there.

Enjoy

Lot Size: 20x30

Description: 1 bed, 2.5 baths, 3 receptions, basement and stocked fishpond.

Content: World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets.

Haematoma House is on the market for the first time ever, having been in the same family since new.  This well-appointed house, with pretentions to Gothic, was built two centuries ago for the Kular family. The current owner, Drey, is relocating to Bridgeport, hence the opportunity to acquire this unique property.  Immaculate throughout, the house boasts shuttered windows, an original front door, 2 receptions rooms, a large kitchen/diner/living room, 2 spiral staircases, an ensuite bathroom, a shower room, a cloakroom and a basement storage area comprising of 2 well-sized rooms.  Outside the property has low-maintenance landscaping and a well-stocked fish pond.

The front aspect.
Please note the mature planting and the original cast iron fencing and gates.

The rear aspect.
A view from the fish pond towards the rear of the house, please note that there is room to cultivate a small vegetable garden.

Plan of the top floor.
En-suite bathroom, large open plan master bedroom, feature fireplace, sitting area, walk-through utility room with washer/dryer to shower-room, spiral staircase to ground floor.

Plan of ground floor.
Sitting room (with feature fireplace of blood-flecked marble), additional reception room (currently empty), cloakroom, kitchen/diner/living room, stairwell, access off the kitchen to the back garden and spiral staircase to the basement.

Plan of basement.
Large stairwell and 2 separate storage rooms, all areas tiled.

View from the master bed towards the upstairs sitting area.

There are 2 alcoves to either side of the foot of the master four-poster bed. One contains a small dressing table and the other is currently being used as a small office.

The master bathroom contains a feature bath. Note that this room also contains the original window shutters.

The kitchen area is fully-fitted and includes a dishwasher. The breakfast bar dining area enjoys an excellent view of the humungous flat screen tv.

One of the basement rooms is currently laid out as a novelty crypt.

Must be seen to be truly appreciated, please book your viewing early to avoid disappointment.

Please note: Due the current owner's commitments, viewings may only be made at night: this also accounts for the dark photographs.

Additional note - when this house is placed on a 20x30 lot the mailbox will be situated to the right of the gates. The pictures are of a copy of the house, placed on a larger lot and the mailbox has moved itself.
