I wasn't sure I was going to get this finished, but lucky for me my whole family had other things to do today. With everyone gone, I was able to get in several hours of play and finish up with:

Total house values of $6,686,320 and 14 careers capped, for a multiplier of 2.4 and a total score of $16,047,168.

Unlike so many others, I have no idea how people managed over 20 careers.  I can't wait to find out - every challenge I learn about new "secrets" that I had no clue about!

I'll share how to get that many careers on Tuesday as long as you let me know how you got that big a house value! Nice score.

Alright, I know I won't be able to finish this challenge due to not even being 1/3 through and it is the last day.

Either way I'm here to take the last spot on this challenge and hereby present my meager score:

I caped 2 careers and the houses had a combined value of 114 725.
Final score 22 945.

Do check and see if I made any errors.

Margerita, you forgot to add 1.0 to your multiplier. I get a final score of 137,670 for you.

thanks - I'm happy to share also.  It took some planning, but still fell far short of drift's score, so there's obviously more I didn't think of!

I'm disappointed. My game got too buggy to keep going around Week 8, which feels like a lot of time left that could have improved this score. Better something than nothing though, right?

House Values:  1,051,153

Multiplier:  2.5

Final Score:  2,627,882

Finally finished. Really got down to the wire for me. I've been playing here in there in between marathon sessions of Rift.

Tom and Kathy Kah-Rear were able to max 19 careers for a multiplier of 2.90.

Final house value = 3,100,928

3,100,928 X 2.90 = 8,992,691

Didn't do nearly as well as I know I could have and didn't finish. At least I got a score up though!
Maxed 3 careers with a total house value of 133,700
Believe that puts me at the bottom of the leader board but that is ok at least I am up there!
The total I got is 173,810 but I could be way off I am tired. Past my bedtime. Next time I will not wait till the last minute. Hehe!

I'm done!  Only got to Week 11, Day 2, but Carlie and Carl Carcapcio topped 9 careers, and had a total house value of $504,852, for a final score of 959,218.

Here is my final (modest!) score. Thanks, enjoyed playing this challenge a lot, and for me that was a lot of careers to finish even though I'm not anywhere near the high scores of most people!

Michael Bass and Sylvia Schreiber in Sunset Valley maxed 6 careers for cap mult 1.6
house value  = 317,622

score = 508,195

They couldn't move when the final career was maxed as no houses expensive enough to move to!

Actually, I figure the rough approach taken was probably about the same, or 6M would still be very tough, especially considering you had 15 houses only (average of 400K). More careers = more moves = more houses to count value, though!

I'll put up my strategy tomorrow - not sure when the challenge ends for everyone.
