I'm sorry but I don't understand how that is four careers?  Isn't it only 2.

I know it splits at level 5 and you choose which path.  So if you get to level 5 twice and pick each side it's only two careers right?

Sorry if it's a dumb question

The Music career and Criminal career each have 2 paths, so just look at it as 4 distinct careers. I can't explain anymore. Do some testing.

I think twinmum meant the criminal has two paths, and music has two paths, so four paths total - meaning you can do all of them and have four total careers (4 different career level 10 options, even though they are the same at levels 0 - 5.)

I hope that made sense.

:)

ok, Carrie Caps and Newton Digs maxed out 9 careers and their houses totaled 1,161,850.

my calculations put me in at:

1,161,850 x 1.90 = 2,207,515

I think.  This game was brutal, I was stupid up until week 6 then it dawned on me what I was suppose to be doing, plus I misread the rules (NOT in my favor, that's for sure)  and my game kept being sketchy (ie: I was sure my game/computer was going to implode!)  I'm glad I'm done.

Though I can hardly wait for the next challenges! (hopefully fixing my game/computer before then!)

 :D

Okay, I just ran into a problem that I hope won't disqualify me from the challenge.

I bought a house that came with a car parked on the lot. I never touched that car, but for some reason when it was time to move, my sims used that one, and left one of their own vehicles behind, and apparently that's now part of the lot they moved out of because I couldn't interact with it when I went back for it. I had previously claimed the vehicle that was left behind as a "bought" item, so technically that's not a problem, but the car that was taken by mistake theoretically is since I didn't actually buy it - would it be adequate for me to claim the car that was taken by mistake as a "bought" item, use familyfunds to deduct the price, and then carry on? Or sell the car and use familyfunds to deduct the proceeds? Or can I go back to the last save from before I moved, and see if I can manage to not swap cars? Or something else I haven't thought of?

There's also the Studio career with the Actor and Director paths.

Interesting thing that happened. Hmmmm...

To keep things simple for you I would just concern yourself over the 4 items per house you have direct control over. Don't "pretend" that that car was a bought item. It wasn't.

Finally finished!

Eve and Beverly finished this challenge with 9 jobs, and a house value of 723,105

723,105 x 1.9 = 1,373,899

Definitely need a sims break now.

Done.

House Value:  1016,564    Multiplier 2x (10 careers)  = 2033,128   Right?

This was fun.  With a slow pc I was forced to take my time and just enjoy the journey.  Loved it!

um, I think 10 careers would only be a multiplier of 1 not 2 as each career is 0.1

Yes, but everybody starts with a Multiplier of 1.00, which the Careers stack onto. So (10 x 0.1) + 1.00 = 2.00.

This probably a stupid question, but, can you evict other families from their houses when in edit town mode. Just curious.
