I'm nearly done, hope to finish today during nap time.  I do play on superfast most of the time.  ;D

I'm a herp and always thought that last speed setting was four . . . one day I realized the reason it paused all the time was that it just sped through current actions. [/stupid] It's still a fantastic feature, though!

I've never done anything like this, so I figure I'll give it a go. I'm going to work out how to approach it first, then I'll begin.
My dynasty is being temporarily abandoned. The reason? 25% laziness, 25% preoccupation with other Sims families, and 50% an upcoming move to San Antonio.

Well it's done, I scored a massive total of *wait for it... ;p* 6.

I need you to post your score as others have done — i.e. listing the components.

Two probably quite dense questions:

1) I don't have World Adventures installed, does that affect anything other than not being able to travel and upgrade in those areas?

2) Do I need to sign up anywhere or just post a score? I couldn't find anywhere obvious to, so I'm assuming it's just post score in here.

Sorry, I haven't been playing long!

Correct. Just post a score. Good luck. :)

This certainly sounds like fun, I will give it a try. The husband from my oldest savegame had the handiness skill maxed, but I haven't played a tinker for quite some time since then. Already have some basic ideas for a strategy (which I obviously can't discuss at the moment), so I'm curious how far my sim will get.

Actually, I'd think it does... Because when you go n vacation your game freezes for the time in which you're away  :-\ so in other words, you don't just get 5weeks but 5 weeks plus the time from the 3 vacations to upgrade objetcs, hence, the score for a non WA player should be considerably low compared to one  who does  have it.

But, correct me if I'm wrong

Good point. I felt it unnecessary to state the obvious, but if ArianaJade does not have WA, then she may be unaware of that.

I'm a stay at home mom. LOL After the house is clean, this is all I do until for like 6 hours until the little one is home from school. Good luck
Lucky you and your sweet little one! My mom's always complaining about me playing too much Sims. And my sister keeps telling me I'm too old for playing Sims (almost 15 ) :-\
Err.. wow!? Do you all play on super-fast speed or something? Hansyn Handyman is only on day four! I better get going.... :P
I was on super speed the whole time! Guess the only minutes I was on normal speed were the ones before 11:59 P.M of day 7,week 4  ;D

Sorry Metro, I finished late last night and had a bit of brain freeze.  Here's the score components

Number of Upgrades:  24
Unique Upgrade %:  29%
Total:  6

As an aside, from reading other posts I've learnt one area where I could have improved my score, looking forward to learning more.

Regards,

Raven

Bah!  You're never too old for computer games!  My mum tried to tell me that and I'd turn it on her and say "You relax by reading a book and I relax by playing a game".  She let it slide as long as I stopped playing to do jobs around the house as she asks (ie: do the dishes, set the table for dinner etc)

:D

Number of Upgrades:  112
% Unique Upgrades:   86%
Final Score:                 112 * 0.86 = 96.32 or 96

You're never too old to play!  I just turned 48 in December and I love playing Sims.  Believe it or not I also love to color.  Playing allows us to connect with the child inside all of us and it is important and necessary.  The day I stop playing is the day I stop breathing!

First challenge I've ever done and enjoyed it a lot, going to have a practice of the next one now!

81 x .79 = 63 (point 99)

Kicking myself for not managing to fit one more in for the extra point!
