You shouldn't be discussing here what is listed where as people should be doing their own research to find what has to be upgraded.

For what it's worth, I tested the effects of not uninstalling the windmill and solar panel. When I upgraded everything but those two items, I had 100% of unique upgrades done, and X unique upgrades completed. I then upgraded a solar panel, and had 100% of unique upgrades done, and X+1 unique upgrades completed. So you can get 100% without uninstalling the items - but then you haven't actually done 100% of the available upgrades. Given that - Metro, do you still want us to uninstall the items? I think it would be simpler to maybe just declare them off-limits.

Seems people are getting different results which is interesting to hear. When I tested it (which I did many times ) and told Metro the results, I had the problem that it was counting the solar panel as a unique upgrade but not adding it to the percentage. As soon as I uninstalled them, I was getting 100%. That's why metro has said to uninstall it, because if it's going to do strange things with the percentage for some people it's better to not have it in there.

I will do that. Thanks.

I've needed to edit and remove some posts, guys. Keep your mouths closed about specifics — i.e. where to do research, etc.

I wonder if it would have done that if I hadn't saved the solar panel for absolutely last...I've got a save from halfway through and I'll try it and see if it messes with the percentage.

I did track my percentages as I went, and everything was consistent with the game expecting X upgrades at 100% even though there were actually X+2 available counting the eco-items. Uninstalling them would be definitely safe and accurate, but sounds like a pain for anyone using them in existing files.

Does the 4 worlds reference refer to the WA EP?  I don't have that one so just want to confirm that I'm understanding the rules.

Alright!  Last year was a complete bust for me so I am hoping this year, with an earlier start, I will be able to do better!

The anything but cheats rule is nice too! :P

Sorry if I am being a bit dim here (happens a lot to me!)

The 4 Neighbourhoods quoted are Your Base Neighbourhood (whichever you choose) and the three World Adventures ones?
Only asking as last year there was some moving around in neighbourhoods and this sounds much simpler!

Good Challenge, thanks Metro!

I have never played Sims 3 in my LIFE and I honestly don't understand half the rules and ways to play that are in these challenges; That said, I am SO excited to get started!  What a great way to get to know everything the game has to offer ;).  On that note, no way am I even attempting the house/career cap challenge lol I'll start right here :P.  Thank you, Carl and Pam, for setting up such a wicked sweet way to play!

In playable worlds mentioned I noted a lack of Hidden Springs and Buccaneer Bay.  Are these neighborhoods allowed?  Asking this question for purposes of clarity.

You can choose any EA designed world as your base world, and then you've got the 3 vacation worlds on top of that for this event. Where do I not list those two as playable worlds?
