The Cure for a Broken Heart

Nothing cures a broken heart like a nooboo.  It's not that we felt the pain of losing mom any less acutely, but Bree provided a happy distraction for all of us.



The nooboo days passed quickly, as they always do, and soon we had a very active toddler on our hands.



Alec and I are totally bewildered about where that hair color came from.  He teases me about having a thing for the mailman, and I remind him that the mailman is a woman.

Everyone pitches in to keep Bree occupied.



But I tackle most of her skill training.  It gives me something to do and helps the two of us bond.



That's right, sweetie, someday you'll meet a hunky man just like your daddy.



And he'll take you on lots of dates.



He may even ask you to marry him!



And you can tell him that marriage is a big step and you should just have a baby together to see how that works out.

Okay, so it's not the typical family values a mother would teach her daughter, but Bree isn't just any daughter, she's the seventh in line of this immortal dynasty and typical is not in the cards for her.  For now she should just enjoy the carefree days of her young life.



Because time is just flying by.

Bree is so cute as a toddler, and even as a child. I'm really fond of the name Bree because when I was little me and my sister would play together and one of our made up characters was named Bree.

I'm still not feeling all that great, so unfortunately it's going to be a bit longer before I have an update.  Darn bronchitis!  *shakes fist*  Things are a bit slow in game right now - just waiting for sims to age up.

Bree is brave, athletic, and a party animal.  I think she is going to supermax charisma and probably, but not certain yet, have a military career.

Bree In Her Own Words

My family is crazy!  I have more grandmas and grandpas than any kid deserves, and each and every one of them is crazy! 

Grandma Meg is the only halfway normal one of the bunch but she is always getting into fistfights with Grandma Raven. 
Grandma Raven is always sneaking up on the other Grandmas and scaring them. 
Grandma Callie is the craziest of the bunch - she talks to herself and sometimes pretends to be a dog or a cat. 
Grandma Glenys is crazy in an artsy sort of way.  She plays her guitar at all hours of the day or night - even when the rest of us are sleeping. 
Grandpa Danny wanders around like he's lost.  He is always hanging out with Mom.  She says it's because he misses Grandma Tasha, who I never knew.
Mom and Dad aren't crazy yet, but I think by the time they get to be the Grandmas' age they will be crazy, too!

As for me, I like to pretend I'm an astronaut.



I dream of going to the moon someday.  I bet it's quiet on the moon, not like around here.  Mom and Dad say I have to study hard if I'm going to be an astronaut.  I get good grades in school and Dad helps me with my homework when he's not at the hospital working.



He's the smartest person I know.  I hope I'm as smart as Dad is when I grow up.

A few days later...

Speaking of growing up, it's my birthday today.  I decided to invite a bunch of people over for a birthday party - complete with dancing, food, and birthday cake.



Make a wish!



And after the sparkles it looks like my wish came true!





I start high school on Monday.  I wonder if the other kids will like me?  I wonder if I'll find a boyfriend to take me to the prom?  I wonder if I dare invite anyone over with my crazy family?  I wonder if my astronaut costume still fits...I wouldn't mind pretending to be on the moon right about now.
