Disabling the grid during buy/build mode

The grid is starting to make me feel a little dizzy.

Is there a way or cheat to turn it off?

I know there was a cheat to turn off the grid back in Sims 1 and Sims 2, but I don't remember what it was.  *goes off to do some research on this*

I went into the game and opened the cheat console.  There was no command cheat for disabling the grid.  Maybe someone else will have another answer for you.

Have you looked in the game options? I don't know for sure though.

I've tried to find this over the internet, but to no avail. I don't believe there's a cheat for it at least.

are you talking about the really detailed, tiny grid or the standard grid? Because the tiny one can be turned off in the control panel in build/buy mode, where the active sim's head is in live mode

Can you tell me in detail?

I don't know what the "standard" grid is. Haven't been playing sims all along.

There is the big grid, then inside one of those squares there is another grid with funny lines, plants and stuff can go in them.

The tiny grid is dashed lines between the regular grid lines.  I'll try to get a screenshot and instructions to disable.

Unfortunately, you can only disable the little dashed lines between the regular grid lines.  The main grid stays.

There is in Buy and Build mode a button (shown as a grid) that can be toggled on or off. Also you can press G which is a shortcut for providing the same result.

Are you certain that it's the 'main grid' as discussed earlier in the thread, or the 'tiny grid' that were supposed to be possible to turn off in the Buy/Build mode?

Uhm... now that you ask me, I doubt about it myself. :S Are you talking about the grid inside the grid? The squares that make it possible to move objects with even tinier percentages than in The Sims 2? If so, I don't know how to fix that, but I thought there was a cheat for it.
