New Gem Cut - Star Cut

I found a star cut while I was in Egypt doing the running opp.  Is this new to pets?  I looked in the gem guide and did not see it.

I actually noticed it after the latest patch and before I got Pets.

Haha, so they did have it in there for a reason. I remember seeing a topic about it somewhere before, but back then it was only available through the use of a mod to 'unlock' it.

Did you find already cut gem or you got the option to sent raw gem to get star cut gem?  And if it is the other option, do you know what unlocked it?

I figured it out, it is unlocked after brilliant cut (I think 15 gems cut brilliant before getting it), it costs 800$ and it multiply the value of the raw gem by 4.

Here are 2 soulpeace stars, one alabaster star and one fluorite star. You can guess what is my next goal

I just added this to the gems page. I found the break-even value at $267. Because of the high price, it is never as profitable as the brilliant or heart-shaped cuts. But it definitely looks cool, at least it seems to be available to everyone.

I just noticed that now star cut is costing 400$. I don't know after how many gems it dropped the price(in first round I sent 14 gems to get star cut, and on second round I sent 11 gems, I noticed the drop of value now on third round but it could happen in second too without me noticing it). I had heart cut unlocked before star cut, so it has something to do with number of cuts.

I hope it for you Seabody, I mean Sportsfan (sorry, couldn't resist mention that after reading your under-avatar-text ). I still don't have all the gem forms myself, but I will make sure I will do that once, AFTER Anushka did it.
For some reason I think this is a Anushka thing, as she was the first who have completed all the gems together and I don't want to take that from her.
