Forgotten Actions

Carl has forgotten some trait actions, here they are:

Coward:Cowardly sims may faint when they experience some happenings. They 100% do when a burglar is in sight, 35% when encountering fires (they won't even bother to fight it, if they faint and become enveloped in the flames, make sure your sim has the unlucky trait). Unfortunately, i'm not sure if they faint when seeing ghosts. But I do know that he/she will get the horrified faster than usual when exploring the building in the graveyard. I know I don't faint but i'm as still as a statue when in dark. Lastly, when slapped or lost in a fight..."wahhhh! I want my mummy!" Yep, they run away. If you're lucky, then they will make stupid sounds. Of course, quite a funny trait!

Clumsy:Clumsy sims can trip over NOTHING (like I do!), and have a higher priority breaking things when interacting with it. Not much here...but can add spice to their life. Combine this with absent minded, and make a fumbler that won't admit they remember breaking the radio!

Loser:One of the funniest traits! Anger won't thrive in a loser, but crying will. Only good sims will listen to their complaints. Winning is rarer than trying to get the jackpot when you're the unluckiest guy in the world. In addition, random amusing events will happen in careers and schools. Why, my teen wet himself in assembly and got thrown in a dump by accident in one day! They make the perfect bullying targets.

Daredevil:They last longer in fires. Well duh! What d'you expect? Roast daredevil!?!?

That's All Folks! Rest are up to you! ;)

Dad: KIDS GET IN HERE!!!

Kids in unison: <Yes daddy!>

Dad: Who broke your moms vase?!?!?  I told you "Don't play ball in the house!"

Kid: Um, you did last night daddy... Remember when you were playing Harlem Globetrotters and slam dunked the basketball into moms vase?

Dad: I did?!?!  REALLY!?!?   Well then nevermind... go play on the astroturf in the back yard.

In regards to if a cowardly Sim will faint if they see a ghost, the answer is yes.  I have been playing my legacy family and have kept the parents on the same lot.  One of my children is cowardly and is constantly fainting when the grandparent ghost comes into the house at night.  It's pretty funny actually  :D

Cowardly sims should pee themselves when they see death show up.   :o  I would be interested to know what would happen to me if I ran into death.  As I have read "On A Pale Horse" and "Dead Like Me" is one of my favorite former TV series, I think it'd make for an interesting life/death event.

I still wish I could have little grim reaper kids.  That would make for an interesting family... Make a haunted house on a hill and have the parent(s) be Death... "Oh what a day... I had to collect EIGHT! souls today.... We really need to get better geriatric services in this town!"

You can marry the grim reaper and have children with him. You cannot, however, have his cloak if he changes clothes and all the children (and himself) will have coal-black skin. Of course, harvesting souls is not his job either and he's unemployed. With a patch, it became impossible to get impregnated by him before he's moved in, but if you, by cheat or luck, makes him move in with you, he's considered a normal sim!

I think they took death out of the list of marriageable peoples in the game several patches back.  I have seen lots of info to suggest it is no longer possible.  I have tried and have never been able to converse with death like I used to be able to.

That's true.  I remember reading that it's no longer possible to Try For Baby with Grim.  I think they changed this very early after releasing Sims 3.

Yeah, on the third patch or something it was changed so that you could no longer bear child with the Grim Reaper.

I'm working on another project, but will use the information in this thread to improve the guide as was suggested. Thanks a lot for the additional info. When I'm done with the current one, I'll head back here to check for more info on anything I missed. I suspect this will be ongoing because some folks really like their quirky traits and have found useful ways to implement them.

That's the thing everybody! They changed it so that you can't try for baby with the grim reaper as he is, but if you befriend him (which can also be done without cheats), you can ask him to move in with you whereas he will afterwards act as a normal sim. Baby possibilities and everything. I can personally vow for that this works and if you try it with cheats a quickie, you can test that yourself! ;D

Normally, there's three grim reapers active at a given time to make this harder to do, so one that collects your sim's father may not be the same reaper that collects his brother. This forces you to befriend him in one go (i.e. you will have to be a bit lucky so that he hangs around for a bit) or wait a little longer and hope to meet him again. Of course, with testingcheatsenabled you can instantly pull up his relationship bar to max and ask him in. When he's moved in it's perfectly possible to get a child with him. My sim's daughter's grand-daughter got a son with him after the third patch!
NOTE: You can not marry him at first. Make him move in, then it's possible to marry him.

How recent is this?  I haven't been able to even interact with the grim reapers lately.  I can try it again as locking people in a room till they starve is pretty easy, but even when I witness a death, the grim reaper just does his business and leaves.

Sometimes, but certainly not always, he sticks around the house and watch television or read some books and such. It is then you need to approach him. Other times he instantly leaves after performing the ceremony; as said, you need to get lucky.
