Is any other way to fix the launcher failure except for the manual patch?

Finally, I deleted all Sims 3 with Eps and Sps this morning and re-installed them after saving the Sims3 folder on my desktop. After patching 1.26 version, I got a message,"There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details." So I tried to open the game with TS3W in Bin folder but it says 'unable to start'.

So I thought it could be the patch problem. I visited TS3 official home, and got a manual patch link from Technical help. After the manual patch, I got the same message.

So I removed the Sims3 base game and re installed and completed the automatic patch as well but still have the same problem. Even not able to start the game.

Is there an idea to solve this out please? If I go back to 1.24 patch after un-installing Pets, would it be the good idea?

How are you going about re-installing it?

I have found in the past that patches are delicate. I tend to install the games (in order of release), after installing each individual game I would then patch and run it. Then do the same thing for next one etc etc

It might make the problem go away, or it might help highlight the problem and then can work on how to solve it.

Yes I can try your way. One doubtful thing is that I updated base game while installing WA. So just update base game when I complete the base game installed, right? And then, start to install Eps. Thank you for an idea.

But as you know there's no more latest patch for Eps and Sps except for the Base game, right?

I just installed the Base Game ONLY and got a patch.
Now I don't get the useless message any more!!


But one more thing..I found unfortunately...


I'm running base game without any Eps and Sps now..







Claire is still very happy with invisible fish in her hand. 

It proves this fish bug is from patch. isn't it?
Because I had no problem with fishing with baits before the patch.

Ok thanks!! I'm using ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card and got this last April in Orlando when I visited US for Disney Land. So my card is fully up to date. I made sure one more time a week ago and it was still fully up to date. I'm going to install WA and High End Loft Stuff. I'm not going to install LN though.I got sick of being stars and vampires. Also hate the paparazzies.

Now I installed Town Life and game is running successfully. I'm so happy but...
I can't find 'Edit a sim in CAS' action with testingcheatsenabled on cheat. I don't know what's wrong with it.






Actually, I installed the sims3 base, WA, Ambitiions and Generations with all Sps except for LN.
Is the action, Edit a sim in CAS belongs to Late Night? I'm not sure.
Anyway, my base game is 1.26.89 version. I'm very wondering why it's not working.

Yes everything works fine now except for some bugs. 

I'm placing the central park of Twinbrook in the Pets town.
I better give up editing Riverview. I'm too beginner to edit there.
