Homework Help
« on: October 24, 2011, 12:58:02 AM »
No I don't need help with my homework lol.

How long does it usually take a child/teen to do their homework?
What about when they get help from an adult?
And finally how long when they work with another of their age?

I feel like mine are taking forever, like 3-4 hours to complete it.

The Workaholic and Genius traits reduce the time significantly.  Getting help from someone else also reduces it.  Doing it with another child/teenager might reduce it, but it's not enough that I really noticed.  3 to 4 hours seems a little long.  My normal Sims finish in about 2 hours, I think.

Generations brings us study class (I think it's that) so teens can complete their HW quickier.

Doesn't logic skill reduce the time? I've had  twins specializing on different skills, and the one who trains logic is always super fast compared to their musical twin. (one used pegbox, the other the xylophone) Even when they do their homework together, the logic trained twin finishes faster.

If the one who studied Logic was also a Genius - that was the reason it was faster not necessarily the logic.

The LTR Multi-tasker will also reduce the amount of time it takes a child to do their homework.

I've never noticed it taking less either.  Perhaps doing this has an impact on needs (i.e. social/fun)?
