Is the GEN patch bug fixed when Pets were released?
« on: October 23, 2011, 01:27:17 PM »
I've been reading about bug fixes in the Pets expansion patch, but didn't find out anything about the travel bug (not the old familytree bug, but the Generations patch bug, this one)

Can anyone confirm if this bug has been eliminated in the latest patch?
I'm aware that some people didn't have too much trouble with it, but I had some serious game-wrecking trouble with all of my games, and have not installed any patch after 1.19 because of it. :( But now I want those cute pets!

I placed this topic on WA forum in hopes of getting the attention of players who have experience of this specific bug... I know about the fix on excavation and photography bugs.

First, your link is broken as there is an extra http in there somewhere.

Second, the bug you're talking about was around before Generations came out.  I haven't heard whether or not it's been fixed but you may be able to find a solution by looking up crincrit's threads on the official forums as an alternate.

Noodles, I moved it in technical help since here are most of the topics related to bugs and patches.

I'm not shore what traveling bug you were asking about, so please be more specific about your question. Hosfac put a list of bugs that are confirmed to be fixed here.

Well, it's strange it never got me before, and that these forums too were filled with posts regarding that bug only after the 1.24 patch. I also have never witnessed this bug again after I uninstalled the 1.24 patch. But of course I might be mistaken.
Thanks for your tip, I'll try & search those threads!

Also Anushka, thank you, I didn't see any fix mentioned by Hosfac. I just might keep on waiting.
Sorry for not being that specific, I assumed the 1.24 bug was "well-known" as opposed to the earlier, as there was quite a lot of talk about it back then. Then again, not everyone suffered from it and I was searching trough every single thread about it then so I might just have noticed it better. I have fixed the link now.

Sorry, but I didn't mention it because I've never had this bug, so it would be difficult for me to know if it was actually fixed.   ;)
