Horse Gnomes

I just had the horses lick the salt lick and two appeared a short time later, so that might be one of the triggers or maybe how many horses you have, but it worked when I did it.

The amount of horses falls of the list, as I counted 9 horse gnomes just now.

Has anyone done any testing on the rate at which these things appear? (aside from the saltlike one)  I got a dog one for letting my dog sleep in the bed with me for two nights (same sell price).  Just want to know what actions evoke their creation, they make for a nice income.

I sell them straight away as they seem to adversely effect my lag in the game.

Mine disappeared again. I've searched high and low and cannot find it.  Is this normal?

There was once a glitch where gnomes became invisible and the only ways to really figure out where they were was if they blocked something or if your Sim autonomously "viewed" them.  I don't remember if you could pick them up though.  This glitch has been fixed for a while, though (although it wouldn't surprise me to find out that it's broke again lol).

But yes, gnomes will seem to vanish from time to time.  I don't think they actually disappear, but they *poof* to some place that's not easy to find.  They're really easy to lose track of.  Mine will turn up missing for a day or two at a time, and then reappear in front of the fridge or bed.  Cue much complaining and the frustrated dance.

A lot of my gnomes have been disappearing on top of counters and tables outside but if I wiggle the surfaces around or relocate them, sometimes they reappear.

I used to find gnomes inside the fridge from time to time.  That hasn't happened in a long time, though, so I'm not sure if they still do it.

Your post made me laugh!  "List of cooking ingredients in the fridge:  3 lettuce, 1 egg, 1 magic gnome."  I'd like to see the recipe that has magic gnome as an ingredient.  No, I had been wondering where my gnome had gotten to, and got quite a surprise one day when I was zoomed in close enough to see the contents of the fridge and there was Mr Gnome, lounging on the shelf and chilling.  After that first time, I always looked in the fridge when a gnome went missing and quite often found them there.
