Error preventing launcher from starting!! Please Help!

Hi everyone

I was just wondering if anyone can help:

Ok I'm totally lost as to why my launcher will not work, I press open and it comes up with the message: There was an error during start up. Please see the log for more details. This seemed to happen after I install High end loft expansion???

The games I have installed are: Town life, Outdoor, Fast Lane, World Adventures, ambitions, generations and the one I did just before this message occured high end loft.

I have been all over the forums reading what other peole said would work, I have tried manually updating all my expansion games that did not work at all and the error message still came up. So I uninstalled all expansions but still wouldn't work. So I went back to a system restore just before I put the high end loft on, but still error message.

I have also tried going into the program files and launching from there but the error message still comes up.
My game is patched to the lasted super patch 1.26

Can anyone help?? I don't currently have my base Sims 3 game here so I really don't want to have to uninstall that!

Hi LuckySlippers and welcome to the forum! You're patched up to 1.26? Alright. It's certainly not a global-patch issue - I can play the game.
If you can tell us, what order did you install the games in?
Also, do you have any Mods or Custom Content (items designed by a third party - not Electronic Arts)?

Yip I am all patched up to 1.26.
I didn't think of that does it matter what order I do them in? From the base game I installed - Town Life - Outdoor - World Adventures - Fast Lane - Ambitions - Generations. Please note that Fast Lane may have come before WA, can't quite remember :s

Then I installed Highend Loft but I have now gone back to a system restore before I installed, just incase it was that.

Yip I do have CC, I have also taken out all in my mod folder but didn't seem to make a difference.

Actually before the launcher went funny I accidently put Sims 2 CC into my Sims 3 Mod folder, I didn't realise till it wouldn't let me uninstall anything from my launcher, but as soon as I realised I took it all out. And then it was all good, then I was just deleting some unwanted CC off my launcher working fine then it started not working and I had to close itand when I opened it again that message came up!

Also don't know if this means anthing but I followed BelloClo instructions on http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=1186.0  and I went into the shortcut and the screen went black like it was going to play and then a message came up saying: Unable to start game Service Initialization failed (0x6224dd27)

It sometimes matters which order you install them in. If you purchase Ambitions, then World Adventures, for instance, you can install it in that order. If you do a complete reinstall, then you need to install them in the correct order (Base Game>WA>HELS>AMB>FLS>GEN>OLS>LN>TLS>Pets).

How recently was your most recent reinstall? Have you cleared you caches (instructions should be somewhere towards the top of this board), even though that probably won't make a difference?

Oh this could be the reason!! Because the first 3 expansions I got from the EA

Oh this could be the reason!! Because the first 3 expansions I got from the EA online store whereas the last 3 are actual disks.
I put Ambitions and Generations on Monday 17/10/11.

I shall clear the caches now, fingers crossed

It had to be the week I let my Sister borrow my base game disk that I need it lol, on Orgin it has my base game picture there but no button to download, but I have read on links you can get digital copies so you don't need to use your disk?

Yeah deleted the cache still error

Sorry about so many questions but I just nocticed in my Sims 3 folder, Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, I have

11 of these file things saying ScriptError_LuckySlippers__10-14-2011__01-09-35__F581C83B , but each saying different numbers

and

10 of these file/note things saying xcpt LUCKYSLIPPERS 11-10-01 01.19.18.mdmp and xcpt LUCKYSLIPPERS 11-10-01 01.19.18

Is this normal??

I think they would be linked to the script errors you had, because I have none of those, and I've never experienced a Server Initialization failure, or that script error you had.
