« on: March 06, 2010, 06:24:23 PM »
I have an athletic sim that got pregnant, then i got her to exercise, when she stopped, there was a device in her inventory called 'Exercise Monitoring Device' and the only option that comes up when i click it is 'destroy'. What does this device do? Can some one please help me? :-\

It should come with an Opportunity for doing something like, swim, jog and exercise for 30 mins on each activity, you don't need to worry and can destroy it. I didn't think pregnant sims could exercise ether....

Once they change into pregnant clothes, their options for exercising become limited.  The exercise monitoring device is for exercise related quests.  Once you finish it, the device goes away.

Not exactly, don't you have to turn the device in to the person who gave you the opportunity?

It sometimes asks you to then return or talk to the person who gave the opportunity.

You can find what she has to do in the Opportunity Description.

I thought that was the jogging device.  It monitors your jogging for an hour around town and then you turn it in.

Sometimes you have to do other activities for a set amount of time.

I know there is one to just do all three, jog, swim and workout with the radio, that one is for variety in your workout, but, I don't that one requires the tracking device.

Yeah, that's what I said. Sorry, it was more of a rhetorical question to the person asking the original question to make them think about it.

I was referring to the end of the quest which would include talking to the quest giver usually... but yeah, simple accumulating your hours of sweat free exercise or whatever doesn't technically finish the quest, it just advances it to the turn in phase.  Good point.

Oh okay. Right after I posted that, I thought, "Well, `finish` might include turning it in... I probably chose the worst possible way of saying that." Thanks for clearing that up!
