Thank you for the response. Like I said : I have 4 friends : 1 horse, 2 dogs and one cat. That was the reason I've posted this on the forum. I just don't get it where I'm wrong!
You have to have a BFF status with the animals I believe..... I read the unicorn article on Carl's Sims 3 Guide & Walkthrough. Very helpful. Here's the link:  http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/pets/unicorns.php    Hope that helps...

I've adopted a unicorn easily with my sim Cheri Montalvo, who was attempting the Ark Builder LTW, since she owned two cats, a dog, two horses, two birds, and some terrarium pets. My Sim had interacted with so many other species of pets, that the unicorn readily accepted her offer to join the household.

My other Sim Buckshot Thibideaux was going for The Jockey, and had befriended ten horses (to complete the Riding Challenge), a couple of strays, and carried around one crow that he interacted with daily. No problem befriending a unicorn.

Another Sim Billy Roy was friends with a lot of horses he'd raised and sold, and also regularly interacted with any deer, raccoons, and large birds that came into his yard. Some of his horses had the Friend of the Herd LTR, and a Unicorn came right into his yard! He befriended her the same night. And that was in Bridgeport!

There's an app on the App Store now for iPhone users all about Horses and Unicorns, called Equestrian Center - Horse Guide for The Sims 3: Pets.
Check out my app "Equestrian Center - Horse Guide for The Sims 3:Pets" for iPhone and iPad. Everything you need to know to adopt, befriend, train, breed, and sell your horses. All about Unicorns too! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/equestrian-center-horse-guide/id482247698?mt=8&uo=4

I was playing my household of two women, their two horses, two cats, and two dogs, when all of a sudden 4 wild horses show up in my back yard. I looked around and there was this beautiful white unicorn named meteor horse. I was so shocked. And upset that since I already had 6 pets that I couldn't invite the unicorn in my household  :'(

Well, the good news is the Unicorn Called Meteor will probably still be in your neighborhood for a while. You can find out more about Unicorns in an app I wrote for the iPhone called "Equestrian Center". But basically, unless the Unicorn dies or gets adopted by another household, she'll be around somewhere. They live a lot longer than horses, so death is unlikely. And i don't see my neighbors autonomously adopting wild unicorns either. So ditch one of those other pets and go grab him!

My First Unicorn Yayay!  ;D Where was it? In a rock.  :-\ I was in HS and the Unicorn was glitched inbetween some rocks by the waterfall. The Rainbow thing was only just poking up and if I wasn't sending a Sim to fish there I would have missed it! It was a white one.
Are you still having this problem? I play hidden springs, and the same thing happens to me.
Have you found a way around it? Im thinking of moving towns because of it
Do you think maybe deleting the lot and leaving it nothing would help, since then it wont be a fishing spot??  I bet it won't :'(  It makes me so sad since i really like hidden springs.. until i got pets and found this little problem.

I don't know if it will help but can you see the name of the unocorn? Then you can try reset sim. But I don't know where it will end up. You can also use world edotor and move the rock perhaps?

Maybe I could move the rock. I'm not sure it may be part of the mountian.  No the unicorn is not visable. I know it's there because of the rainbow aura thingee, and ussually there are a few wild horses who have the thought bubble of the unicorn (it's the black one)  over thier head, and then the "can't get to it" bubble.

I'm so thinking of having the 3rd generation of my family having a sim wanting to befriend a unicorn.  I haven't done it yet so it would be fun to do, and I could add it into the story.

I apologize in advance for the bad translation of google translate, I have many unicorns in different games, I have also made them reproduce, I have looked for anywhere the way to share them and to save them, I have discovered that can be done departing from the interaction "change saddle" (I don't know if the translation is faithful) but don't I know why it doesn't work with all the unicorns, some it would seem doesn't have a saddle, when I climb on do I do him/it without saddle, and it doesn't go out me the interaction "saddle horse" and therefore even "change saddle" someone knows the why?? I would want so much to save and to share the children of my unicorns. I hope that you have succeeded in reading without making to come the headache, I thank you of any help

Welcome to the forum! You can get a Unicorn into Create a Sim by having your Sim click on the Unicorn, then select Care, you should then see an interaction to edit saddle. I hope that makes sense? It will also allow you to change the Unicorns Coat Colours/Patterns.  :)

On my phone, so I can't edit posts but my earlier info was wrong. The option is under Saddle not care.

Is the Unicorn in your Household? They have to be living with your Sim for the option to come up.

I have one unicorn that was bugged and edit saddle was not available. I move the family to the bin and place them in a new town.  :)
