This is an awesome start to a Legacy! I'm also going to have my Legacy move to Appaloosa Plains.

I think I might as well, Gogo. When I get Pets in three weeks that is  ;)

On a plus note, I'm getting GEN tomorrow  :D

I just think it's so pretty there. It looks like year round Autumn.

That's great! I was very disappointed with Generations at first because I didn't play children that often, but now that I'm doing two dynasties and now a legacy, I'm appreciating it more.

Ch. 3: Surprises

When Gavin moved in, I had no idea how rich he was. Well, he didn't bring a whole lot of money when he moved in, but he did bring his Margaret Vaguster, which he agreed to sell if it meant he wouldn't have to live in my shack. So, with my Architectural discount, I built a country home for us both.

We still had a lot of money left over, so I fenced in an area just for Acorn.

He mostly slept and ate in it, and even though he had a big ball, it always wound up outside the fencing.

The next morning, I found myself hovering over the toilet bowl. I was certain that I was pregnant. Luckily, I had heard of this old wife's tale for pregnancy that involved eating either apples or watermelons. I preferred watermelon, so I made sure to eat a lot of it. It definitely made me feel better.

And that confirmed it for me that I was indeed, pregnant. I went to tell Gavin, and he smiled and rubbed my belly. He said he was happy that we were having a child, because he was getting old and wanted to see his child grow up.

During my pregnancy, Gavin helped to take care of Acorn. I didn't want to risk the baby by riding, even though I really wanted to keep competing. I don't think Gavin would admit to it, but he really liked Acorn.

But of course I still made time for my Acorn. Gavin may secretly like him, but Acorn is mine til the end.

Gavin needed to work on his Logic skill for his career. His Lifetime Wish was to become a World Renowned Surgeon, and he was getting old. So, I offered to play chess with him during the day since neither of us were working while on our honeymoon.

And then it happened. I went into labor in the living room.

It was painful, but it was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. Hello, Brianna Brooks.

I'm working on that. ;) The thing that disappoints me is that when you meet a horse, you can't see its gender on the relationship panel.

Aww Welcome Baby Brianna Brooks!  I love your house.  I am in awe.  Remember if you befriend a wild horse and it turns out to be male, you can always sell it!

Great update.  I'm really enjoying this story.

Ch. 4: Companionship

Upon giving birth to Brianna, the first thing I did was snuggle her up like she really was a bundle of joy and just by holding her, I was holding love itself. The second thing I did was hand her over to Gavin. He held her very gingerly as he fed her a bottle of formula.

And the third thing I did was immediately go outside and jump on Acorn bareback. All I wanted to do was ride. It was too late to take him to a competition, but that was okay. He enjoyed running in the night air, and I loved being able to ride him again.

I checked on Brianna when I returned home. She was sleeping soundly, so I crawled into bed with Gavin. He was already asleep, too. I had the most marvelous sleep that night. When I woke in the morning, Gavin was already up. I found him outside with Acorn, and apparently Gavin was trying to ride him. And Gavin tells me that Acorn is just a nice horse. ;)

I left Brianna at home with Gavin that day, and I went for a walk through the neighborhood. That's when I saw the wild horse again. It looked older now, and that made me sad a little. I just stood and watched it for a while, buying my time and hoping it would be comfortable enough to let me near it.

Eventually, it let me close enough to feed it some lettuce. Its muzzle was as soft as ever.

Sadly, it took off with the rest of its herd immediately afterwards. There were three other wild horses that ran around with it. I hoped to be able to approach the rest of them one day. That night, we celebrated Gavin's birthday.

He's an old man now, but I think he's still very handsome.

As I went to sleep that night, I still couldn't get that wild paint horse out of my mind. The fact that it let me come close again had made me so happy. While I was out with Acorn the next day, we stumbled across the herd again. I let Acorn interact with the paint while I stood aside and watched and watched.

As it became dark, I got the courage up to approach the paint. It let me once again, and this time, it even let me pet it.

Then something wonderful happened.

I had officially adopted the wild paint horse. As I mounted her bareback, I named her Lily. Welcome to the family, Lily.

This is really great!  I've been most excited about the cats, but Acorn looks to be a wonderful pet and friend.

Thank you! I was most excited about the horses simply because we've never had them before. And I used to have horses as a kid, so it brings back good memories. :)

Ch. 5: Growing Up

The morning after I brought Lily home, I woke to see her and Acorn playing like old friends.

I also saw that the fenced in area was simply not enough for two horses, so I built a barn for them.

That night, Brianna aged up to a toddler.

She had my red hair and Gavin's bright blue eyes and face shape. She looked so beautiful.

I spent much of my time with Brianna. I taught her to walk and talk while Gavin was at work.

I caught Acorn and Lily in an intimate mood one day. I wonder if they will ever have a foal.

For Brianna's birthday, I adopted a puppy. I named him Cashew, and I hoped very much that he would get along well with Brianna. Cashew is a bit Destructive, but he also loves to swim.

Even if Brianna was too young to interact with Cashew at the time, I had fun playing with him.

A miraculous thing happened later that week. Lily gave birth to a foal! She looked like a spitting image of Lily, and I named her Mint.

Acorn loved to play with his filly.

And I loved to take care of the new addition to our family.

I aged up to Adult later that night.

Allora: Oh, Acorn. We're both growing up so fast. I have a daughter. You have a daughter. You seem happier since I brought Lily home. I know that I haven't been around that much since Brianna was born, and I'm sorry. I hope Lily and Mint can keep you company. You are a wonderful friend, Acorn, and I am so happy to have you. Brianna will be a child soon. I hope you will love her like you love me. I know I already love Mint and Lily both as I love you. Stay perfect, Acorn.

Awesome update!  I think Mint has Acorn's .. head?  Definitely his eyes.   Little Cashew is so cute!

I can't believe how awesome this EP has been so far.
