Your legacy is amazing! Is this suppose to be a human legacy or a horse legacy?

I might do both. If I only did a horse legacy, the story would be over very quickly. I mean, we're already on generation 3 for horses, haha.

Ch. 9: A Hunch

Kindred was a sight to watch. I was surprised that he didn't have any unicorn powers and even more surprised to see that Orion didn't care. He loved Kindred all the same.

Gavin's job was going very well. In fact, he finally became a World Renowned Doctor. I was so proud of him. He had wanted this ever since he could remember. With his bonus, we built an addition onto the house. We called it our pet room. A fitting name, I would have said, because you could have any kind of animal you wanted in that room!

I had even found a turtle in our backyard and put it in one of our terrariums.  I couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl, so I named it Genderless.

Lily made her fist appearance. It was late one night when I looked out my window and saw a red figure near the barn. At first, I was alarmed, but when I looked closer, I saw the figure was licking a salt lick. I knew it had to be Lily's ghost. She loved salt licks.

I was having a lot of free time lately, since Brianna was frequently at school, extracurriculars, or friends' houses. And even though Gavin was working a little less hours, I still had a lot of time to myself. I spent it doing many things. First, I tried my hand at mixing drinks. That was fun for a day or two.

Then I decided that I should probably stick to what I know. I took Mint out for a ride and we did some racing training. Now that Brianna was almost a Young Adult, I would have all the time in the world to compete again.

Meanwhile, Acorn's Elder birthday was fast approaching. It was saddening to think that he was becoming an old man, but it was expected. He was a grandfather after all! We spent some quality time together and we went for a long ride on the day of his birthday.

I thought Acorn aged into quite the handsome fellow.

He would frequently set time aside to spend with his grandson, Kindred.

He even tried to stay active still by playing with his daughter.

And speaking of daughters. Mine was acting a little odd lately. For one, she had suddenly become obsessed with brushing her teeth. I knew she had always been a bit Neurotic, but she was brushing her teeth morning, night, after every meal, and before she went out. I didn't pay too much mind to it, because let's face it, she could have had far worse habits.

Then it finally clicked when she came home with a friend from school one day. His name was Omar. It was quite the "a-ha" moment for me.

Brianna asked to order some pizza. I was fine with that.

However, after the two of them ate, they suddenly disappeared.

I had a hunch. Brianna had a boyfriend. No wonder she wanted minty fresh breath.

Ch. 10: Graduation

May I start by saying that I did not know that owning horses was synonymous with owning a horse gnome army? It really was ridiculous seeing them all over the property. But selling them netted us a whopping 11,000 simoleans!

Despite all the gnomes, I was excited to see that Brianna was spending time with Kindred. I knew Brianna was more of a general Animal Person than an Equestrian like myself, but I could only hope that she would fall in love with him like I did with Acorn.

I hated to admit it, but my Elder birthday was drawing ever nearer. I didn't even want to celebrate, but Gavin insisted.

He thought I was still as beautiful as ever. I just had more laugh lines.

Brianna also had her birthday. I felt like a hypocrite demanding we celebrate her Young Adult birthday as well. But I decided that, being an Elder, I was entitled to be hypocritical every now and again.

Brianna turned into a beautiful young lady. I was so proud. She looked just like her dad but she stood out with my bright red hair.

I let Brianna drive as we headed to Town Hall for her Graduation. I was so proud to discover that she was Valedictorian. I always knew my girl was so smart!

Hi, all. Here's that picture of Brianna.

In other news, there will be a big surprise in either this next update or the one after. If it happens to be the one after, I plan on posting the second chapter immediately after the first. I won't give you any hints, but I promise you will enjoy it. :)

One day very far into the Brooks' future, Brianna found herself relaxing in the sitting room. The fire was lit, and it was a perfect afternoon to spend reading a book. Brianna slowly wobbled to the bookcase and carefully scanned for a book. She didn't particularly know what she wanted, but maybe a spine would catch her eye or something. Then something did catch her eye. It was a book that she had never seen before, colored maroon. The only reason Brianna picked up this book was because it was very close to matching her own hair color. The book cover, eerily unmarked by text or picture, was rough and worn in Brianna's hands, as if someone had read this book many, many times. She opened to the first page.

After reading for a few pages, Brianna was astounded. How did this book get here? She had never seen it in her old house, but according to the last written page, her mother had hidden it well. This book was actually Allora's diary. Brianna's mother recorded all of her days in this diary: her love that was Acorn, her quest for the unicorn Orion, her fairytale marriage with Gavin, and her dear daughter Brianna.

In this last page, midway through the diary, Allora had written:
Dear Brianna,
I regret to say that this is where my story ends. However, your story now begins. You are now just as old as I was when I started this journal. I ask you to do as I've done. I want you to record your life, your dreams, your desires. And when the time comes, I hope you will pass this down to your children as I have done. Think of how marvelous it would be when your granddaughter or grandson reads this! Or even your great-grandchildren! Our family's legacy will be all written for future generations to enjoy... It will be wonderful. However, I now have to figure out how to sneak this journal into your husband's things before you move. He will undoubtedly put this away without paying much attention to it.
With all of the love I possess,
Your Mother

Brianna picked up a pen and knew exactly where to start.

Far away, there lived a young woman in a beautiful home.

She enjoyed reading.

And she enjoyed spending time online on a certain forum... However, this woman was not happy here. There were too many famous people and she found herself at home by herself all of the time. How would she live with herself if she embarrassed herself in front of these magnificent people?

Soon, her problem would be solved. She was surprised to receive a phone call from an unknown number.

But upon answering, she was relieved. It was a buyer.

Hello, this is Mallory Blue.
Ms. Blue? This is Brianna Brooks. I was interested in purchasing your home.
Well Brianna, I am so very glad that you called.

Ch. 11: Brianna Brooks

My first day as a Young Adult was as wonderful as it was horrible. I graduated Valedictorian.

I decided that I wanted to be a Fashion Phenomenon, and I applied for a job at the salon. I even succeeded in my first makeover!

However, it all ended terribly with Dad's passing.

Mom and I were devastated.

But Grim didn't seem to care as he took my dad from us.

It took Mom and I both a long time to get over his death. I don't think Mom ever did, but it's possible that she didn't have enough time.

I was lucky to have a new job that I could bury myself in. It kept me fully occupied most nights.

Mom spent her time with her horses. She was getting old, but she could still handle them well enough to get Kindred trained without hurting herself.

While not at work, I spent time teaching Cashew new tricks. I don't think he understood that when I barked at him, it meant I wanted him to bark back.

But what I really wanted to do was spend time with Omar. After graduation, we decided to keep our relationship going. Looking back, I may have made it go a little too fast. I proposed and Omar said yes.

He then moved in with Mom and I, but I told him that hair HAD to go. I styled him up and thought he looked very handsome.

While planning the wedding, I found myself not wanting to stay in Appaloosa Plains. Omar didn't care what we did, as long as he got to be with me. So, I made a decision. There was a lovely home for sale in a town pretty far away from here. I'd already spoken with the owner, and we worked out a price. It was right inside my budget. Now I just had to break it to Mom.

I couldn't really tell if the conversation was going well or not, since Mom seemed pretty distracted. She didn't seem to focus on much since Dad passed. However, it was finally time for mine and Omar's wedding. We had a pretty simple setup. My dress was a little expensive, but we made it work.

I can't express how happy I was on that day.

As soon as the ceremony was over, I was struck by an idea. I told Omar to entertain the family while I was gone, and he did just that. I made a quick trip to Mom's bedroom and then I left the lot, wedding dress and all.

I arrived at the Science Center and quickly went inside. It was time to resurrect Dad. I never expected him to come out as a ghost, though. After the initial shock, I told him everything. He congratulated me on my wedding.

And I told him that Omar and I wanted to move, but we were worried about Mom.

Dad hurried home, and boy, was Mom shocked. But not too shocked to be overjoyed.

Then it was time. Omar and I packed that night and before we knew it, we were in Union Cove.

Thank you. I've actually gotten my hair cut short since I made my simself, but I decided to just leave her as is. I'm very excited to play in UC. I've been trying to figure out the best way to get this Legacy over there. :)

Ch. 12: How Exciting!

Our first day in Union Cove was amazing. Omar joined the Political Career. His Lifetime Wish was to be Super Popular. The people of this town definitely seemed nice enough to be friends with my husband.

I spent my morning getting comfortable in the entertainment room. It was just me and Cashew for a few hours. That's right, I took Cashew with me when I moved. I just couldn't bear to go without him.

Work was very intimidating. I had recently gotten a promotion in Appaloosa Plains, and luckily I was able to keep my position in Union Cove. However, I was shocked to meet one of my co-workers! It was Joe Marsden!

I succeeded in giving a few makeovers. Everyone was already so stylish and well put together though that I only changed a few things like makeup and shoes.

When I got home, I realized that neither Omar nor I knew how to cook. I called Mom and asked her what to do.

Mom, Omar and I can't cook!
Well honey, neither can I. Your dad does all the cooking.
Can you put him on the phone so he can teach me how to cook something for dinner?!
He's a ghost now. He can't use the phone. Something about the electricity messing up his brain waves or something...
But what do I do?!
Just call the pizza guy.
Oh, okay. Thanks Mom. Bye!

Looking back, I shouldn't have called the pizza guy. The pizza may have been delicious, but I think the pizza guy was plotting my demise.

For dinner, Omar invited over his boss, Panther Character. I was too tired to keep debating politics with them at the dinner table so I excused myself for bed.

The two of them stayed talking late into the night.

I was relieved when Omar came to bed. He told me about how wonderful his boss was and how he couldn't wait to start his first day of work. I was just relieved to be in bed. It had been such a long and exciting day.

The next morning, I realized that with both Omar and I working, Cashew would be home alone a lot. I felt bad for him, and decided to adopt another dog. Her name was Peanut.

I hoped they would have puppies. They would make the cutest little furballs.

On a side note, it's entertaining seeing sims before the textures fully load. It's like the original sims all over again!
