Plastic Surgery?
« on: October 18, 2011, 08:11:16 PM »
In this article (link), it has an empty section on Plastic Surgery in TS3: Pets. Does this mean there actually IS Plastic Surgery, or is SimsVIP kidding me?

I haven't tried it yet but, you can get plastic surgery by clicking the hospital. Your options are "facial beautification" for $950 or $2800 and "body modification" for $1100 or $3250.

Yes, the hospital offers different priced options.  It can go wrong, though, just like with makeovers and create some very unattractive sims.  They get an embarrased moodlet.   Not sure if it eventually wears off because I took my sim straight back to the hospital for corrective surgery.

Does it basically take you back into CAS with that Sim? I'm just having ideas of taking a certain Sunset Valley Resident that is a popular Man with strong genes to visit there when I get my game.  :P

It might just randomly shift some of the sliders.  Or the sliders might be the only thing you can change to get that perfect nose job, liposuction, or ..umm...chest enhancement.

The expensive plastic surgery allows full control over the shape of the face and body (obviously respectively - that is if you want to do everything, you'll have to go under the knife twice.)  I only tried the expensive surgery, and have not yet tested the cheap options, as it was late and I wasn't thinking :)

If it is a successful surgery, yes, it takes you back into CAS and you can adjust pretty much anything (aside from things you change in the mirror like hair/eyebrows).  If it is unsuccessful, it is just random.  I only tried the cheap facial surgery, though.   I have a picture of a facial surgery gone wrong, if anyone is interested.

Here is a before and after of a Sim I used the cheap facial beautification on.

Before

After

I didn't give it time to see if it would wear off or not; I sent her straight back and she got the option for Corrective facial surgery, which wasn't an option the first time.

It think it's odd that the changes above actually remind me of some of those plastic surgery addict specials on the Discovery and TLC channels.  Thanks for the pics!

I was unfortunate enough to be drinking water when I scrolled down to the pic post surgery. OMG! Hilarious. I almost fell out of my chair, but your sim was already so pretty, lol, don't know why you did it. So, did she get her face back after corrective surgery?

Yup, the corrective surgery fixed it so she was back to her old self.

Did you have to pay for the corrective surgery?
