EA has posted a solution to the Limited Edition [Pet Shop] Content problem.

Thank you for purchasing The Sims 3 Pets Expansion pack for The Sims 3.  We know that you want to play your game as soon as possible to enjoy life with pets but we wanted to give you some additional information on how to get your exclusive Pet Store.   

1.Install your The Sims 3 game first!
2.Register with your game with The Sims 3 Community - Go to www.thesims3.com/register in your browser or
click the "Sign Up Now" button on the Game Launcher if you haven’t already registered. 
If you have already registered with The Sims 3 Community, you will still need to register your
game via your “My Account” page (found on https://www.thesims3.com/myAccount.html).
3.Once you have registered your game, you’ll see a link to install the items from your Purchase
History page (found under My Account on store.thesims3.com). The pop up link will not make any mention
of the Limited Edition content, but rest assure it will show up in your Purchase History page. You do not need to
take any further action to obtain your exclusive items.
4.Locate the item on your Purchase History page and click install**. This will launch the game and install your item.

**It may take up to 5 minutes for the item to appear on your Purchase History page.


What it really is saying is got to your Purcharse History and it should appear there within 5 minutes.

Yeah, I had a problem with that. I followed the above instructions trying to get my pet shop but could only get the costumes. I spent half an hour with the tech people at TS3 and they just kept giving me the same instructions as above...3 times. I gave up. Maybe someone will build one sometime?

I also noticed that the Pet Adoption is at the Andrews house. The same thing in Riverview but I can't remember the townie name.

They also took away the legacy lot (60x60) in Sun Valley for the Equestrian Center.

I am enjoying playing Apaloosa Plains though. Nice houses.

The pet store is in my purchase history, but cannot get it to download into the launcher.  At the bottom of the page, just above the task bar, it says, "done, but with errors on the page", so not sure if it has something to do with java or not.  I have never had any problem downloading from my purchase history before.  I cannot download the two items I got from Dr. Pepper either.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

I did all of this.. It does not appear. The only thing that appeared was a pet bed..

What exactly is happening?   You have limited edition Pets and you did all of the above and all you got was a pet bed?  What pet bed?  Do you mean the spacey one that came with registrations?   The Pet Shop was for Limited Edition only not the normal one.  Although at one time all you had to do was register pets to get the store that may not be true any longer.

I got the limited edition, I installed and registered it. I got the space bed thing. -edit- atomic something

 I got no petshop.
No pet shop appears when searching the store..

No shop also appears when viewing my history.

The space bed was specifically for registering the game with the website.  How long ago did you register?  I've heard people say it took from 5 minutes to 24 hours.  If it's been a while, then my best guess would be to call customer support.   

The Pet Shop will only appear in your purchase history because it's not available through the store like the registration awards so you won't be able to find it there.

OK again:

I have gotten the game expansion pets.
I have installed it

Inside the game is a red paper with a 20 digit code on it.
It also has pictures and printed text.
It says it expires October 18, 2012.

I registered the game and the extra code.
BOTH codes are 20 digits.
The codes are different. The codes are in different places. One is on a white EA paper with text printed by EA with instructions how to install.

Only the pet bed thing appeared. I searched and found the other Iams thing.. It appeared to be free.
There is NO petshop..

There is NO petshop in the store. There is NO petshop in my download history where it says it's supposed to appear.

There is no need to type/scream at me.  I understood that you had installed it and registered the game already.  The code on the red slip of paper should have been 16 digits not 20.  Where did you input the code that came on the red slip of paper?  It wouldn't have fit the redeem a code boxes. 

If you're really worried about it, as I said you can always call customer support.  We aren't EA so we can't magically make it happen for you.
