Where Do You Put the Limited Edition Code?

I got the Limited Edition of pets, went to the web address to redeem the code and there's no box to put the code in? Is anyone else having this problem.

You go to The Sims 3 Store website.  Then go to your account.  You will probably have to put in your password twice.  Then it will say Redeem a Code.  You put the code in there.   Just remember that right now a lot of people are unable to download the store.  There is also an IAMS starter pack for EP5 owners and non EP5 owners.  As well as a free space themed bowl/bed set.

I just got my pet store.  First you have to register your game under your account.  Then wait about 5 minutes and go to your purchase history at the store and your pet store should be there for download.

I don't even see where the limited ed code is. Are we talking about the registration code? I just registered my game and got a doggy bed and a food bowl. Was there something else also? My game is installing so I have not started it yet.

If you got the limited edition there should be a red sheet of paper in with the disk.

If you got the download, it will be a special code that came in the email that only has 16 characters instead of 20.

Wow. I'm so dumb... I just saw the front that was talking about Sims Social that I just tossed it aside.

And I was the one that logged on the store and didn't know where to put the code.

Oh, and I was just reading the flyer, and it says the code expires today, so if anyone wanted to get the Limited Edition later, they can't.

I got the dowloadable Limited Edition version of Pets from Amazon, and it gave me a code for the pet shop. Where do I enter it?

If I remember correctly. You register your game and go to your Download History. That's what I did for my sister and it worked.

That's what has worked for some people but if it doesn't work for you.  You enter it into the "Redeem a Code" option in the Sims 3 Store under your account.

I'm talking about Redeem a Code not register game.  Registering a game and Redeeming a code are two different options in two different sections of the Sims 3 website.

Registering a game is a 20 alphanumeric code.
Redeeming a special code is a 16 alphanumeric code.

If you go to the Sims 3 Store, sign in like you normally would.  Then click on My Account at the top.   You'll have to put in your password again usually.   There should be a list of options under Account Details.  This list is for the Sims 3 Store.  

The list looks like this:


Choose Redeem a Code and it should have four boxes for the 16 digits.   If your code is a only 12 digits, this may explain why a lot of people don't have to input the code to get access to the pet store in their purchase history.   EA messed up and forgot to send out full codes and therefore, had to rig something.
