I've only played for a couple of hours - all I have to say is wow!

I created a YA female and a horse in CAS/CAP, and have been playing them in AP. I'm not a fan of horses in real-life, but sim horses are just so adorable (as is my sim when she falls off him!). I'm training them both and absolutely love the new career, and the fact that competing (and hopefully winning!) races requires some input from the player and is not just a typical rabbit hole. I haven't interacted much with cats or dogs yet - I'm hopefully going to have my sim adopt a few strays :)

I really like the new female ponytail and clothes, this EP has added some of the nicest clothes in my opinion.

There's only one thing I can't figure out. When the bladder meter on my horse gets low, he just pees wherever he is standing. Is there some kind of horse toilet (for lack of a better term!) in buy mode? I've looked under the horse category and can't seem to find anything.

i'm not a horsey person in real life either, but I read in another thread that it's natural for them to just pee where ever they are.  There are no horse toilets.  Most animals do just 'go' when they feel the need, they never learned our human hang-ups.

That's slightly irritating... Never mind, I'm too in love with my horse to care ;) Thanks for the reply Lesley!

Why is it irritating?  You can choose where the horse goes if that's what you're worried about.

I felt it was irritating because I don't like seeing random puddles all over my lot. Lesley is right - it is more realistic this way as animals have no 'human hang ups'.

I thought it was funny as that EA thought it necessary to put the blur on the horses when they pee!! That cracked me up. I do think they could have done a little better with that thought - as it is they look like they just let it run all down their legs. In RL they stretch out so they don't get it all over themselves!

Changing the subject  ;)    What's with the ice-cream van parking outside my ranch from 4am for a couple of hours?  Shouldn't the ice-cream man be home in bed? It's a bit silly.

But the puddles seem to only be there for foals and even then, they don't last long. If it bothers you that much, when the bladder bar drops, have the horse go into the stall to pee, that way you can then clean the stall and get fertilizer.

I didn't know about fertilizer, thanks for the tip Twinmum! :)

Right! Like for real! Haha! And the blur is like huge! It's silly but if they think it's necessary then  ;)

I'm so glad my sim's riding position got better as her skill increased! It was like, she is totally going to fall off with her heels up like that and legs way back! (For those who don't ride, your centre of balance goes down through your heels.)

Mine rides a bit like a sack of spuds hahaha.  I keep missing the window for riding lessons. She improves her skill riding her horses but I thought maybe she needs a proper lesson for posture correction.  We'll see if it improves afterwards eh?

I noticed that. At first I was like, EA did that wrong...

I love the new theme song. It's an awesome remix. I heard it and thought it was simply amazing. If you haven't heard it yet, I think you should. (Link)

I'm not sure if the "woohoo in the haystack" was in game prior to pets, because I never placed a haystack before from the misc decor tab, but this has to be one of the greatest woohoo animations!  Prior to jumping in, checking around to see if anyone is watching made me laugh as well.  Plus you get a nice little 2 hour moodlet  "Roll in the haystack"
