I completely agree about how they've handled pet deaths.  The first one I saw, I just melted at Grimmy.  Here's a screenshot of what a softy he is:

Yeah, with cats, he picks up the cat and hugs it, then puts it on the floor and brings out a catnip mouse.  The cat lifts up to bat at the mouse and Grim tosses it up into the light and the cat rises right up into it.  It gives the feeling that the cat is happy when it passes.

I'm very pleased with this aspect of the expansion, too.  It's all very well done, in my opinion.  Having pets brings a whole new dimension to the game, which is perfect for the mid-point of the expected run of Sims 3.

I think this is the second best EP, since Vampires.  ::)

The grim is really sweet with dogs, he picks them up and plays with them. I had a stray whippet die on my lot the other night, and all my sims mourned him :(

You don't have Pets yet, though, do you?

I'm quite disappointed as the new map - Appaloosa Plains without features of previous EP Late Night. There is no diving bars, dance clubs and film studio. The sims can't not complete challenge of mixology skill even or join the film career here (Yes, I know there is a empty lot of 64x64 in size. However, I have to use it to place the lot of my previous save).

This may be the strategy of EA as Pets is sold with the base game in package. So, such features of other EPs can't be co-existing...
Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...

I think part of it is to keep certain elements from each EP separate because not everyone who has Pets will have Late Nite. Plus, personaally, I think things like movie studios and dive bars would look somewhat out of place in the country setting of Appaloosa Plains.
If you really want those things, I suppose you could use the edit world tool and place more lots, then add the lots you want.

In order to get them to fit (most of them require very large lots) you would have to destroy most empty lots and perhaps some homes or buildings/properties.  I tried to fit the LN bars into Appaloosa Plains for my current dynasty and I only was able to fit 1 of them in because the terrain is mostly not buildable.

It's definitely a drawback, for sure, but there are so many great things about this EP that I can live without clubs/bars.

Oh OK, didn't realize there wasn't enough room as it;s not something I have tried to do, but yeah, I guess we just have to decide what sort of sim we will be playing and find a town suitable for them.

I love this EP, but has anyone noticed lately, when you go to town view or something like that and return, that the horses are deformed for just a second.  Not really a game breaker and it only lasts a split second, but just wondering if anyone else has run across this.  It happens so fast, you can't even get a screenshot of it.  I didn't really want to start a new thread about this, so just thought I would put it here. :)

I hadn't noticed that but I'll keep a look out for it. It happens to my Sims as well, although that takes a little longer to fix itself. Another thing I noticed is that one of the roads off the main town to the left into a little street with 3 or 4 Lots on it. EA hasn't done it's CAWing very well! The road isn't joined with the road intersection at the end of the road! Tut-Tut.  :D

I have noticed that Salty so it's not just you.  First time I saw it I thought my graphics card was screwing up or something.

The dogs can also be deformed after map view. They kind of stretch out, but it only last for a moment. It don't realy bother me. I love this expansion,I think it is the best one released :)
