Can't find Pet Store.

@Joria Mine downloaded into the bin area but was not placed in the game.  I placed it on a lot.  It is a building and it's called  Grahams Pet Swap Shop, I'll correct the name when I get into my game.  It was late (night time) in the game but there is a cash register in there and animals in cages and terrariums.  A parrot was out on a perch, allowing my Sim to teach him to talk.  I did click on the register and it something to the effect that the store was closed.

The Pet Store is just a place to buy pet related items, including fish bowls.  You cannot actually sell the wild animals you collect there but you can steal the three that are in cages once you place the lot.  It's a community building and there is a spot already set up for in AP across from the Curleys and next to the Grocery Store.  One of the townies work the register just like the Consignment Shop and the interface is pretty much the same.   This is the only place to get the Pet Store exclusive items which seem to be few.

In you installed items list you should see: A shop sign, a scratch post that looks like a palm tree and a canopy pet bed.  I can't remember off the top of my head what else it offers.

Oh, so there IS actually a pet store that can be placed if downloaded? Confusing. I was talking with Carl a couple days ago and we were both like, "Where's the pet store?"

I'm so sorry.  I forgot to mention this part.  Only Pets Limited Edition got the pet store and it's register.   This isn't the best shot of it but it's the only one I can find at this moment.

My store copy says Limited Edition, so I guess it's a matter of unlocking a code or something? Is there anything unique about the store — i.e. can I obtain the same items from the Buy Mode?

There is a code that came in your physical box that on the front said something about Sims Social.  I heard it was red in color and on the back it has a 16 alphanumerical code that needs to be put in against your account on the Sims 3 website.  You register your game with your account and then go to the Sims 3 store and go to my account.  One of the options should be Redeem a Code.  Just like if you've received the birthday package from Sims 3.

As for the items - I'll get back to you as soon as my game has loaded.


Edit: The items can be bought in buydebug but not regular buy mode.   The register is available under community lot objects in build mode.  Here is a shot of the store and a shot of all the things you can buy from it that's exclusive to the store.



A bed, rug, cat hiding spot, scratch post, doghouse, 2 store signs, a window, a door and Regal racing posts.

Thank you, Ricalynn. Not sure if it's worth my time and effort to place the lot or not since there are plenty of objects in buy mode.

I didn't need to enter the 16 digit redemption code.  When I registered my copy of Pets on the TS3 website (not to be confused with entering the 16 digit registration code during installation of the game) the Pet Store automatically appeared in my purchase history for the store.  You might want to check there.

I didn't know where to put this but I am really happy. I ordered my game online via Game.co.uk, there was no indication at all of Limited Edition, none on the Box or inside. The only Extra Content was the Atomic Age stuff I was offered for registering my game. I was going through my Purchase History just now and what do I see? I see a Pet Store! So if you bought it but didn't get any notice that you have the Limited Edition make sure to check! 

If you want to know if it's installed in my Launcher it is in the House/Lots Tab and has the number 4 next to it as the name.

I would think that, because it's extra content, the pet store will have to be placed through Edit Town.  Is that what y'all determined?

I installed my Store but it doesn't show up, do I need to do what was in the thread linked a few pages back (Double pages on Mobile, not sure how many back on PC)?

The store has to be placed via Edit Town.  There is a lot set up for it next to the grocery store in Appaloosa Plains.

Last time I checked it wasn't anywhere. I did have the Register in the game though in the Community Lot Objects, just no Community Lot to place. I have not tried since then when I restarted the game (Crashed).
