Finally I've found this story! I was looking forward how you would handle all those famous sims under one roof. :)

I only have a few things (little once, so you don't have to worry :)): perhaps it is practical to have a few more enters underneath each line that describes the sims on a picture, to make it more visible that the text describing the character belongs to the picture above it, and not beneath it. Now the text is right in the middle.

Another little thing is that I know that Max Skills appears also in 2 more other stories than you've mentionend. If memories saves me well Samoht and Fez both have him included as a secondary or background character (if that's the right term) in one of their stories.

Haha, you've called the house Swap Shop? That's very cool. I couldn't think of a better name, concidering who are living in it. :)

Okey, my before post was written BEFORE I've read the whole story at once and I can agreed with Pam: This is going to be a hit. You have a very, very cool way of writing Audren. Especially how you have introduced the persons with their original traits and way of speaking included.
You not only have done a lot of writing yourself, you also must have done a lot of reading, to know the characters that are included in this story. Very well done Audren.

*Off to go to write a 'don't-worry-Carl-there-are-more-fishes-in-the-sea' mail to our all loved webmaster. :)

@Crayola: Thank you for the ideas. I definately like one of your ideas, and I'm considering the others.

@Leto: Yeah, I couldn't think of a better name for the house. I do need a name for the Sims themselves, for when I'm addressing them all at once. I like your suggestion of the multiple enters in the first post. It does make it look better. Thank you for telling me about those other stories. I listed the appearances he had that I knew of. I'll make sure to find his other appearances. (He sure gets out there, right?  ;)) Concerning the reading, I'm actually feeling a bit bad, because I haven't been keeping track of the Character Legacy! (*goes off to read the last 20 pages or so*)

@everyone: Thank you your positive feedback.

Don't feel bad, Rabbit isn't a main influence in the later chapters apart from her still being alive and stealing candy.  :D

Audren this story really is great, I still can't believe how you've captured the personalities of most of the Sims perfectly though!  :)

Mr. Payne's Job

Mr. Payne realized that he did not have a purpose in life at the moment. There were no orphans to be adopted, or young ladies to be educated.  So, what was he going to do? Mr. Payne searched the newspaper for answers.

Mr. Payne: Hmm. I could become a teacher. I like children. Or perhaps I could- Yes, of course!

Welcome to Mr. Payne's Daycare Service!

Less than an hour after he applies, he gets his first toddlers. I was hoping for some set up time, but whatever.

Specimen One: Sam Sekemoto. Nothing notable about him, besides the creator's (me) soft spot for him. (He was married into my very first Sims family)

Specimen Two: Sandi French. Infamous for almost always aging up with negative traits.

Mr. Payne glitched out and refused to interact with Sam, but his face looked quite funny.

See what I mean?

Leo, of all people, had to come to Mr. Payne's rescue.

Leo: Oh my Gosh! It's my hand!
Sandi: *gasp*

Leo: Oh my Gosh! It's my hand!
Sam: *gasp*

Sandi: *thinks* Why can't I get the young guy like Sam? Instead I get creepy eyes over here.

But seriously, Leo? A kid-lover? Doesn't seem quite like him. Then again, maybe Mr. Payne rubbed some of it off on Leo. Who knows.

Sandi: *thinks* If my own mother can't teach me to walk, why do you think some old guy who's actually an (edited for spoilers- Audren) can?

To close our day in mr. Payne's Daycare, let me just say that when Sam cries, he CRIES! Not a single Sim in this house could ignore him. (The irony is, Sam wasn't even crying.)

Everything Else

I was going to document everything in one post, but I decided to break it up into two posts. Here's part two.

Since Carl lost two precious days to write in his guide, he immediately went to try to finish Carl's Sims 3 Guide 1.0.

Antone and Diana took a trip to Christopher Steel's house.

Antone: You know, you look a lot like my great-great-great-grandfather-in-law.
Chris: What?
Diana: And you also look like my husband.
Chris:  ???
Antone: *to Diana* Is it you, Carina? You look so much younger!

Carl stares blankly at his computer as he finished his first book. It was a commercial flop. (as if Carl's guides can be flops.)

But he quickly begins writing Carl's Sims 3 Guide 2.0.

Rabbit: This might be all I get to do in the Character Legacy recently, but it sure is fun!
Sam: *thinks* Can I have hunky Leo back?

Is captioning really nessessary here?

Or here?

Scarlet Dreamweaver: Antone's betrayed me! *cry*
Me: Ya know, I hear Carl's available.
Scarlet: Ew, no!
Carl: *cry*
Me: You've hurt Carl's feelings!
Scarlet: I'm sorry, Carl, but quite frankly, it'd be weird if I married my creator's co-worker.
Carl: Good point.

We'll close with Carl and Europa. Any reason why I close with a picture of them? Together? Just maybe?

@Leto: (He sure gets out there, right?  ;))

If you are revering to how Max Skills is behaving in this story than yes, you are doing that extremely striking good I must say. Very good.
Especially his first line on the first page you did, the way you have introduced him was actually EXACTLY how I would have do it myself and that surprised me. It surprised me in a good way.
I know you're quite young, and I won't mention your age because I don't know if you would like that, but I can say that for your age your writing is extremely good developed.
Especially in the first chapter. I can repeat myself on how well you've introduced Max Skills, but the way you have dragged the reader into your story, by letting the characters saying to each other that they won't must give away too much plot-information yet (which makes me think they know more about the story plot than a normal protagonist at that timeperiod would know) did give it another interesting swing to the story. What do they know that they normally shouldn't know? If a reader askes that to himself while reading the story, than you've did the right thing.

And for the rest, the way you came up with that humor you've been using: man you're good at this! You've let the characters say the right thing at the right time. Your intoduction was both based on character introduction, going in a certain direction with them from which I don't know yet how that will turn out (and I don't want to know that yet actually ;)), the way they interact with each other and the humor which you've used extremely well, I can learn from you.
You know, you can read a lot about how to write a story, but in the end it all comes down to one thing, and one thing only: talent.
And yes Audren, you ARE talented.
I don't read a lot of stories, because I don't find the time, but this one I will definatly follow.

Okey, I'm done now. Don't have any compliment yet, so I will await your next chapers. Keep up the extremely good work. :)
Time for me to read çhapter 'Mr. Payne's Job' and beyond.

Thank you VERY MUCH for these kind words, Leto. The comment about the plot details is actually making me chuckle, because it's true in more than one way. *sees a schipperke staring at him* I won't say more about my little inside joke.  :D

Great updates! I look forward to seeing who my hapless Simself hooks up with. I await any further lessons you can teach me -- no kiss/no woohoo sounds like a really good policy!

There's More Fish in the Sea, Carl

First off, thank you Leto, for giving me the idea for the title.

Even though Carl may have been emotionally hurt in France, he also learned a French song to woo over Europa.

I do believe it is working, don't you think?

Me: Carl, what did you do?
Carl: Nothing, I just tried kissing her, nothing else.
Me: What did I tell you, Carl? No kissy-kissy yet.

In the end, Carl salvaged the night.

Carl: See that moon over by Jupiter?
Europa: Yeah.
Carl: That's you!
