How long will the babysitter stay?

This is on behalf of my daughter. In her game she has a family of mum,dad and triplet children. She recently had mum and dad (Who are both vampires)get married at a wedding party. The wedding was fine and the mum had a baby girl half way through the ceremony so far so good right.
 Next thing I know my daughter runs in shouting that both the mum and dad had died at exactly the same time. Luckily there is a babysitter there to take care of the poor orphaned children but how long will he stay for.
My daughter has played this file for weeks now and it is the first game where she hasn't used mood cheats so she really wants to keep on playing it. She saved the game in a panic because she didn't want the lady to take the children away.(There was an incident some time ago when a family she was playing had the parents die in a tragic swimming pool accident)

So to get to my point. How long will the babysitter hang around for. The triplets age up in three days will they be able to take care of the baby then.

What a tragic event! 

I've never had anything like that happen in my game (touch wood) but I once played a single mother who was an astronaut, with the one really long work shift per week.  She went off to her job and I nervously waited to see what would happen.  I got the message about the babysitter needing to leave, but he didn't go until the mother came home at the end of her shift.  So at least I know the babysitter will stay that long.  I can't remember if he ate or slept at all while he was there.

What lifespan is your daughter playing on?  Could she turn it down to a shorter lifespan so the kids would age up sooner?  Has she tried aging the kids up with cheats or a birthday cake?

Wow! Tricky situation indeed.

Could it be possible to add an adult sim from CAS to the household in edit town, to take care of the orphans? I don't know about the baby sitter but this seems such an unusual situation... I didn't even know it would be possible to have a household with children only. (even by accidental death of the parents)

Well,so far she has aged up the kids to teens at which point the babysitter went home. It has been two days since the adults died and no sign of any child protection worker. The teens are due to start school the next time she plays so we are waiting to see if a babysitter shows up to look after the baby while they are out at school.

I almost wished it was part of a story I was writing. Boy meets girl they have triplets. Girl gets turned into vampire then turns boy into vampire. Then all in the same day they get married have a baby and die together. In a rather amusing side note my daughter seems to have inherited my trait of choosing naming themes. The triplets are named Rose,Forn and Nettle. Rose is a girl Nettle and Forn are boys. She even managed to get mixed gender triplets born in game how impressive is that for a seven year old.

This may not help at this point, but in normal circumstances, the babysitter will stay until a parent returns home.  Also, you can call a babysitter even when you aren't going out.  The babysitter will come and help with the babies while mom and dad take care of other things around the house.  In this case, the babysitter stays until midnight.

I think a babysitter will have to come when the triplets go to school.  The game won't let a baby be home alone.
