Store Item: Classic Gumball Machine
« on: October 10, 2011, 11:46:14 AM »
This topic is about the classic gumball machine sold here:

http://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:41104&categoryId=13062

I am debating whether or not I will buy the classic gumball machine, and have some questions about it.  How much of the hunger bar does it fill up?  As much as a quick meal or piece of fruit?  Once gotten, can you keep gumballs in your inventory and eat them anywhere?  How long does it take to get a gumball from the machine?

You can't keep the gumballs in your inventory.
It takes a few seconds for the gumball to come from the machine, it always shows a red gumball coming down the pipe.
You sometimes get a moodlet but not always, I tried about 10 times before I got it.
If you have a grumpy or rebellious sim, then you can 'kick it' but the gumballs don't always come out that way.
And sometimes you'll get a message saying that your sim got 2 gumballs, or something like that.  :) I'll post some pictures soon.

Here's the gumball coming from the machine,

Here's what happens when you kick it,

After that it breaks so you have to repair and refill,

Thanks for the quick response.  Does it fill the hunger bar at all?  If so, how much?  Also, how much in game money does it cost?

They cost £4,200 in the game and the hunger bar does go up but only a tiny bit.  :)

The Gumball machine is great! Technophobes and daredevils can kick the gumball machine as well. I don't know why a technophobe wouldn't enjoy the gumball machine though!  :D

You get some moodlets too! Sugar Rush, from the gumballs! That negative moodlet technophobes get from watching TV, and the classic "Fight the Power!" from kicking the gumball machine.

I put it on a community lot. It costs $1 for a gumball, and it can still break, run out, etc. so I think it's a cute machine.
