How to get just twins?

Is there any full proof ways of getting twins? I know about fertility treatment and kids tv/radio but I don't want to get triplets by accident.

I don't think that there is anyway to get twins for certain. You could do all those things and still get only one child also.

If you want just twins (not triplets), only give 1 parent the fertility treatment - if you give it to both parents, you're more likely to get triplets.

Of course if only one of them gets the treatment it is more likely that they will get only one child.

Oh ok, this is for my dynasty so I want to be extra sure I don't get triplets.

I'll do some testing, to see how many times out of ten I get twins or something like that.

It depends on when in the dynasty that you get the twins/triplets. At the second gen it won't really hurt you.

I got twins, one even  time triplets without fertility treatment or kids radio! When a sim is a young adult she chance for twins is bigger.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. And Pam had it happen twice in a row. I think that twins are more likely than we think even without all of the aids.

I would say give both parents fertility treatmant, but no tv or kids radio

If both parents have fertility treatment then you'll highly to get triplets (which can be such a pain!)  \I say try one parent (not on your dynasty.) with not TV or Radio. Now if I could use this for my Science Fair Project.

I believe the new thing since Generations is that Sims with the Family Oriented trait are more likely to have twins than Sims that do not have this trait. Of course, in a official Dynasty you can't change the traits of the founder or each generation's heir but you could give the spouse this trait just to give it a try.

I think the key is to try one of the 'may increase fertility' activities, not all of them: Family Oriented trait, Fertility Treatment LTR, listening to kids radio, watching kids TV.

In my Dynasty, I had my female listen to kids music or watch kids TV, and I had my pre-planned twins both times.

Lilygirl is right. If one parent has the fertility treatment and have the mom to be, maybe just listen to kids radio or watch kids tv, more than likely she will have twins.  Anything more than that and she will have triplets.  I tried this out some time back and that is what I found to be the case.  Even if neither parent has any fertility or family oriented trait and the mom watches tv or listens to the radio, the chance of twins greatly increases.

There's no way to guarantee twins.  My best suggestion is to either give only one parent the Fertility Treatment and do nothing else, or skip the Fertility Treatment and have the mother watch Kids TV all the time.

I agree with Pam.
In my new save file my sim Bambie had twin boys and she listened to the kids channel a lot.
I also recommend muting your game when listening to the kids music.
