Most of the time, the elixir works just fine - some times, they'll get stuck in this limbo between normal Sim and the occult state, and they may have characteristics or motives of both, etc. It's possible to work around, and it may be as simple as hitting them with another potent cure, or going back to the old file and trying again. It's a random glitch, that's all. (Oh, for an in-story example, I think gen. 6's spouse in Tilia's Classics was a glitches vampire, but she managed to figure it out.)

I don't know why, but maybe there's something similar as when you turn someone into a vampire, the "Complete metamorphosis" interaction takes very long. It seems to be hard to the game to process occult states. Also, the time it takes may vary, with better computer it maybe fails less often and takes less time.

I think that cause some occult states have so much things like skin overlays, favourite foods and hidden occult traits, it's very hard for the game to delete all that at once.

Pam, in the last week I've read both Dreamweaver stories beginning to end! I love them (especially the cats!) and can't wait for the latest update! Congrats Dove, and I wonder who the mystery man is.....I find it kinda funny that only one of the eligible bachelors is still human. I also find myself rooting for Isaac because of that!
