Chapter 85 - So Much Dove; a Bit of Riesen

Before I get started with this update, I want to let everyone know that I’ve updated the family tree on FamilyEcho.com for this Dreamweaver family to help refresh all of you on who’s who. The tree had somehow become corrupted and all the names replaced with crazy stuff, so I had to re-create it from scratch. Here’s the link. Also, here’s the family tree for the cats.

Now on to the update!

Godiva’s unexpected pregnancy (unexpected because I didn’t intend for her to have another child) went very well. She and George were very happy to be having a baby at a point where their lives seemed to be becoming mundane and empty with Dove practically grown. After an easy labor at home, Godiva gave birth to a baby boy named Riesen. He’s a Heavy Sleeper and Loves the Cold. His crib has to be in his parents’ room for now.

Soon after his birth, Godiva took Riesen to meet her parents (Charms and Kris), and her brother, York. Two tiny kittens were outside her parents' house for the Neighborhood Adoption. These were Fred and Kim Dreamweaver. I’m not sure what happened to Felix. A third kitten was inside the house, called EvilGenius Dreamweaver. Ha! A tiny kitten named EvilGenius just makes me laugh! Like Felix earlier, all of the kittens are identical to Kia and do not show up on the cats' family tree.

York, Godiva’s brother, lives at home. He seems to have gained the Childish trait considering he was making sand castles in the back yard. This just made me laugh for some reason.

After endless teenage years, Dove finally aged to young adult and gained the Avant Garde trait to go with her other traits of Artistic, Cat Lover, Virtuoso, and Natural Born Performer. Her Lifetime Wish is Vocal Legend. She’s got a lot of work now for her career, LTW, and SuperMax skill. She’ll be making good use of her mother’s Moodlet Manager, I suspect. As usual, many Dreamweavers came to her birthday party. Check out her grandfather Marcos' nifty formalwear.

Dove grew up to be just as lovely as her mother. In fact, except for the eye color (which came from her grandfather Kris), she is the very image of Godiva.

Riesen has been sleeping in his parents’ room. Dove decided to moved herself into the converted garage, both so she can focus on her career and SuperMax and so that Riesen can have a room of his own. Her old room was turned back into a nursery for the new baby.

Once Dove aged up, she learned Street Art in double time. After only one night (all night) and part of a day, she had gone from level 4 all the way to level 10! All she has left for her SuperMax skill are the journal challenges. She also immediately joined the Singer career. Her very first job was to deliver a Sing-A-Gram to her own grandfather (Kris) for having a great workout at the gym. It was followed right up with another one to her great aunt Chewit. They came one after another for two days and, added to some singing for tips, she gained her first promotion. (I decided I didn't like that eye shadow on her and it's changed now.)

On the less bright side, poor Dove has started being abducted by aliens. She hasn’t used a telescope or found any space rocks. It just started happening on its own. So far, she’s been abducted two nights in a row. There seems to be no lasting harm to her, but it’s terribly annoying when she’s trying to paint murals on the wall of her house.

One of Dove’s jobs was at the Spitzig household for Chase’s father. This gave Dove a chance to look inside her possible future home if she tries to make romantic moves on her long-time best friend. It’s a modest home that would be comfortable for her and the next heir, but not as fancy or large as what the family has grown accustomed to living in. Even so, Dove doesn’t want to hang all of her hopes on her Evil best friend, so she’s going to be checking the dating sites every so often to see what other fish are in the sea.

Dove is really gorgeous, and I love her wardrobe. About York -- adults got the ability to play in the sand at the beach with Island Paradise. Maybe they can play in sandboxes too?

Wow, way to knock out maxing that skill! So glad that you've got the file up and running again. And thanks for the family tree update. I looked over it right before reading this and felt like I had a better handle on the extended family and who they all were/how they fit :=)

Wow, in one night! The street art skill is easier to learn than I thought. I haven't tried it yet. As for the lovely Dove, she definitely could be her mother's twin! As for the kittens, you have more than I have in real life! (I have ten, I live on a farm) Also a thank you for the family tree update, I love looking at family trees. Looking forward to your next update.

Dove is Beautiful. Glad to see all your computer issues have been resolved..... I just noticed, Chris' genes faded away in this Dynasty a lot quicker than in your immortal dynasty.

Great update, Pam! I love that she's getting abducted. It adds to the randomness of the game. I have always wanted an alien nooboo, but haven't gotten one yet.

Oh wow. I've never known that and I actually live in the U.S. thank you! It's a very unique name. I would've never have thought it was a chocolate candy!

Chapter 86 - Art, Love, and Song

Riesen aged up to an adorable blond haired, green eyed toddler. He’s the image of his mother, Godiva. Poor George didn’t get any kids who look like him.

Another adorable fellow has also aged up. Baxtor is a fine young man cat and ready to have kittens with Duchess or Pippa. I think he might even be fluffier than Jessica.

As cute as these two fellows are, they aren’t the star of this show. That would be Dove. She’s quite the accomplished Street Artist and has already reached level 10 and done all of the journal challenges. SuperMax skill complete! Her house served as a perfect spot to practice her art. These pieces will count as her 10 items left behind when she’s ready to move out.

With her future duties in mind, Dove finally tried some romantic moves on her best friend Chase. Her Heat of the Moment Kiss was irresistible.

She checked the online dating service to see about eligible bachelors, but seriously, they were all either elders, vampires, or distant relative Dreamweavers. It was a surprise when she got asked out on a date by Sam Hale. I don’t know exactly when he snuck into town. He was also helpless against her Heat of the Moment Kiss.

Sam is already an adult, so I don’t know if it will work out with him. The best thing about Sam is where he lives. It’s the house that sits between first and second generations’ houses. Also, he has a great dog!

Supernaturals may be making their way into the Dreamweaver family, as well. Chase is a mermaid and Sam is a witch. Both are allowed because they don’t have extended life spans. One other consequence of dating both of these guys is that Dove earned the Naughty reputation. She also has the option to Confess to Cheating with both of them. I find this particularly annoying because I'm from the old fashioned way of being able to date more than one person and it's perfectly fine as long as there is no commitment with either one. Dove is committed to neither Chase nor Sam, so there's nothing to confess, right? If one of them was her boyfriend, fiance, or husband, it would be a different story.

So, now we get to Dove’s career. She’s a professional singer at level 5 in her career. She does sing-a-grams, performs for tips, and plays gigs at the Coffee House. I don’t have many venues in this Sunset Valley, so she’ll have to make do with what she’s got and she’s doing great so far.

Author's note: I'm sorry it took so long to get an update. I accidentally deleted the Saves folder from my game and have spent a lot of time trying to just get a salvageable copy of this Townie DecaDynasty file. I've permanently lost some other files, but they weren't as much of a concern as this one. Thankfully, it seems to be all good and back on track now. Sometimes I think this challenge is cursed for me!
