Chapter 52 - Grim’s Visit and the Charming Birthday

Dean’s mother, Ariane, died at age 98 days.  I hadn’t really expected her to live that long, but when she didn’t pass right away, I had her take up fishing.  She had just reached level 10 and gotten a wish to catch a Deathfish when Grim came for her right after dinner.



He came in through the patio door.  Ariane begged to stay, but Grim was firm.  It was her time.  She didn’t have enough happiness points to earn a medium sized tombstone, so it won’t be used for Charms’ moving requirements.  This duty now falls to her aunt Esther.





The family, including the cats, went through the difficult mourning period.  Except for Lollipop because she has the Cold Hearted Lifetime Reward.  It just makes things easier for her.



Charms aged up to Child with a small gathering of family.  I gave her the Ambitious trait to go with Friendly and Excitable. 













I still haven’t decided what her SuperMax skill will be.  Nothing is really jumping out at me.  Right after she aged to Child, she had a wish to meet a vampire and that vampire also happened to be a celebrity.  Charms got an immediate wish for the Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous Lifetime Wish.  Considering that her family already has the financial requirements and Charms got two celebrity stars as soon as she aged up, I thought this would be a good one for her.  It’s not required for moving, but it’s still something she’ll have to do for the happiness points, if nothing else.  I think the Political career will work well for her because she’s just naturally so charming.  That still leaves her SuperMax skill up in the air.

Under the heading of Miscellaneous Interesting Things, Lollipop’s co-workers now include three family members.  Smartie, Jawbreaker, and Bobo have joined the military!  Jawbreaker and Bobo are Latrine Cleaners as one would expect, but Smartie is a Flight Officer and Lollipop’s boss!  How did that happen?  Lollipop hasn’t gone to work since she got pregnant with Charms, but she’s due back in a couple of days now.  Jawbreaker looks handsome in his uniform.



Also, Gobstopper is now a teenager.  He seems to have copied his cousin’s look.

Thank you!  With Charms' favorite color being orange, she's going to remind us of Butterscotch, I think.

Did I miss something? I don't remember Gobstopper being born in the game. None the less, his name reminds me of one of my all time favorite movies, Willy Wonka.

I feel like Gobstopper would've been an appropriate name for an immortal dynasty. (Get it, Gobstopper?)

He was a child of a spare I think? I'm not very good with names unless I name them myself or if they aren't a main character. I literally forgot the name of a new baby the other day and I still don't know it, LOL.

@Rachel, I think Charms got some of Zelda's genes. You can see it in her pale skin and black eyes. She does look a bit like Butterscotch though. LOL.

So maybe Zelda's nearly black eyes and pale skin is recessive in the Sim world, but Chris' features are more dominant?

Gobstopper is the child of Smartie and Bobo.  If you go back a few pictures, you'll see quite a lot of him.

Charms has her mother's skin color.  Zelda and Dean both have paler skin, but it hasn't gotten passed down that I can see.

Charms got Zelda's black eyes though, like Taffy did. She really does look similar to Butterscotch with her wardrobe and all.

Chapter 53 - All Aging, All the Time

There’s been a lot of aging going on.  Usually it’s someone aging up, but for Lollipop, it’s aging down and it’s been going on since Charms was born.  As soon as Lollipop was released from being the current heir, she got a tattoo at the Salon so that she was back at the beginning of her adult life stage.  If you looked carefully, you might have seen it on her upper left arm, where all Dreamweavers now wear their tattoos.



She worked and saved happiness points until she was finally able to purchase the Young Again potion when Heath was almost out of his Toddler years.  Lollipop is now comfortably back at the beginning of her Young Adult lifestage. 





And what do young adults want?  They want to have babies.  I had every intention of having only two children in this generation, but Lollipop wanted another baby with Dean.  So...







Before I show you Heath’s aging up, he would like for me to tell everyone that it’s not always happy times in the swing.  Sometimes a toddler is just too tired and wants his crib!



Poor little Heath’s birthday party was a disaster.  Everyone showed up, but his mother couldn’t get him to the cake for some reason.  Everyone went home and Heath aged up at midnight after they were gone.





I can tell that Heath is going to be a handsome fellow.  He looks particularly stylish in his new clothes.









In more aging news, Dean is now an Adult.  He’s gotten better with age.  Sometimes a few wrinkles adds character to a man, although Dean would disagree while in the middle of his Mid-Life Crisis.





More aging?  Really??  Yes, but we’re almost done.  The kittens Gilbert and Sullivan are now handsome adult man-cats.  They can finally venture beyond the second level of their home.

Chapter 54 - A Sweet New Baby and a Charming Teen

Lollipop’s final (yes, I said FINAL) pregnancy went well and she gave birth to another daughter.  Dean wanted a little girl, so Lollipop stuffed herself with watermelon.  Meet Chewit Dreamweaver, who was born with the Genius and Virtuoso traits.



Chewit spends a lot of time in her swing while the family stays busy all the time.  Dean and Esther both garden and harvest Money Trees to build up the family’s finances.  Big purchases are coming up and wealth will be critical.  Lollipop attends a lot of parties for some reason.  She’s not a party animal, but she’s popular around town.  Her mother is often in attendance, as well.  I caught this picture of Taffy and Randy.



I keep checking to see if Taffy has any more children, but nothing yet.  I’m not sure what I would think if she did, though.

Esther made a trip to the pet store to buy some scratching posts.  While she was there, she found a small kitten running around the store.  Bobo and Jawbreaker were there, so maybe the kitten belonged to them.  The kitten’s name is Jessica Cat, so she’s not a stray.  Anyway, Esther picked her up and brought her home.  All the kittens live on the second level of the house and because kittens can’t climb stairs, they are stuck there.  Jessica has been living with the family for a little while now and just helps herself to food, litter box, and beds.  Gilbert and Sullivan have been spending a lot of time with her in the hopes that she might carry on the feline branch of the family.  My plan is that she will grow up and go back home (hopefully to Butterscotch’s house).  Then one of the boys can have kittens with her that will be available for adoption through the newspaper.  If that doesn’t work out, they’ll just do something else.  Anyway, Jessica is a cutie pie and is very floofy!  She has more floof than Gilbert or Sullivan and I thought they were fairly long haired cats.  So have a look.









Charms had a nice birthday party.  She made the Honor Roll as a child, so she’s on track for her moving requirements.





Her new trait is Disciplined, added to Ambitious, Friendly, and Excitable.  Lollipop has traveled to China and purchased Martial Arts equipment, so that’s going to be Charms’ SuperMax skill.  She’ll be very charming, rich and famous, and Leader of the Free World.  But don’t cross her because she will also be able to put you in your place!

Here’s her new hair and wardrobe.  No Christopher lips here, for sure.











Charms’ aunts Esther and Smartie were at the party.



Her cousin Jawbreaker was there, too.  Look how much he resembles Lollipop!



Heath is such a handsome little man.



The first thing Charms wanted to do was learn to drive.  I found a celebrity gift car (the Extravagator 5000) in the family inventory, so it belongs to Charms now.

Charms is growing up very fast! I think if Jessica were to have kittens, they would be adorable, just like her.
