Chapter 27 - It Should Have Been a Grand Day
Heidi and Mango had a kitten together! Her name is Ginger and she’s a perfect combination of her parents. She’s got the brown fur of her mother and the leg stripes of her father. She even got one of each of their eye colors. Look at the precious!
Here she is with her mother, Heidi.
Ginger is the kitten that Taffy wants for herself. They spent a lot of time together.
Once Ginger aged up, the strips on her legs a little more visible.
She even sleeps with Taffy.
Zelda’s grave finally got placed in preparation for Taffy’s final moving requirements. Christopher had been carrying her around all this time so the family wouldn’t get hauntings.
Naturally, the first night her grave was placed on the home lot, Zelda’s ghost came out for a visit. She didn’t disturb anyone and Heidi was happy to see her Best Friend again.
Taffy aged up to Adult with a splendid birthday party.
At this point, Taffy had to work hard to get her moving requirements completed. The last push was pretty tense as Taffy painted all day to get her Painting SuperMaxed and to reach level 10 of her Painting career. As soon as that was done, she played guitar to complete the last two levels she needed to accomplish her Lifetime Wish of Master of the Arts. Done! While Taffy was focused on her painting and guitar, the family purchased Llama Memorial Stadium, now known as Dreamweaver Memorial Stadium. They also purchased and fully upgraded the Consignment Store. Done! Christopher ran around making friends with the maid, the pizza delivery person, paper deliverer, and the others who were required. Done! The items being left behind are 10 gemstones.
Suddenly, Taffy was finished with all of her moving requirements! Her personal inventory was emptied and she was ready to go. All she had left to do was plan her wedding. Oh, and have a bachelorette party.
The back yard was transformed into the perfect setting for a garden wedding. The arch, chairs, and cake were all perfect. (Never mind Zelda’s grave there.)
Our beautiful Taffy picked out her wedding dress and she was stunning.
The perfect wedding was about to start.
The groom was there and looked so happy with his bride.
But then everything went horribly, horribly wrong. They couldn’t marry! It was just gone! Taffy desperately tried to get it back, but to no avail. It simply wasn’t there. Derek finally left for home with no idea about what went wrong. Still desperate the next day, Taffy invited Derek to a park where she broke his heart and broke up with him.
What choice did she have? She had to do something drastic because time was running out. She had to move out and have a baby in the next eight days. She was too close to becoming an Elder for comfort. The next morning, Taffy and Ginger got in the car and went to Derek’s house.
This was the first time Taffy had visited Derek’s home. It wasn’t as nice as she was used to, but if she could work things out with Derek, it would be alright no matter where they live.
Derek graciously welcomed her into his home even though he was still clearly distraught and broken hearted over losing Taffy. This guy really loves her so much. When she asked to be friends, he readily agreed and they were quickly best friends again.
Taffy had purchased the Master of Seduction Lifetime Reward thinking that she would be able to be successful romantically with Derek and regain their lost relationship. But no, Derek didn’t want any part of a romance with Taffy. Is it just too soon for him? Or are they done for good?Author's Note: Taffy was unable to marry Derek because of a technical problem. The "Get Married" interaction simply did not appear. No amount of romantic actions would make it trigger. Breaking up with Derek was the best thing I could think of to hopefully work things out.
Edit: The technical problem turned out to be a very frustrating player error. Figures, right?
