I'm pretty sure it was Stevie's birthday because he and Skittles were children together and he aged to teen at the same time she did.  But I don't know that 100%, so I guess I've failed the challenge.  I'll see what Metro says.

Is there a possibility you can continue the story, but as an unofficial Dynasty?

She did "fail" in her Immortal Dynasty when Chartruese got a tattoo, but Metro allowed her to continue in the understanding it was a simple blip moment, and she forgot, I believe.
I would imagine Metro would rule the same here, but we have to wait. Oh dear. First "Who's Forest's Daddy?" then "Midnight", and now "Will Metro let Pam continue?"

Yes, but the issue of Forest's daddy was resolved before Midnight.

I put them in the order they were revealed. We found out Teddy was the father, then who Midnight was, now we have to find out if Metro will let Pam continue.

No, Forest was Midnights dad, so Forest came first.

And I really hope Metro lets you continue Pam.

Oh, okay.
Sorry, I thought you were putting them in order of first mention.

I just talked with Carl about this unfortunate incident and we both agreed that the Dynasties are very tough and stuff like this is bound to happen. I've said it a million times, but it bears repeating — it took me 5 tries to succeed at the Immortal Dynasty. But, folks, I can't just say, "Oh, what the heck...go ahead and finish" if a rule was broken because then the rules have no meaning and I'll have to do it constantly for everyone. This really stinks and I'm not happy about it at all. :(

It's my own fault for not understanding the rules.  Townies weren't specifically mentioned in the rules regarding birthday cake, and I interpreted it wrong and thought I could age Stevie up on Skittles' birthday because they were the same age.  I should have just left him alone.

Now I have to decide if I'm going to continue this DecaDynasty just for the story and not for the Hall of Fame, or if I want to restart.  Or both.  What does everyone think?

Well I think it would be a shame if you were to continue and not be able to be in the HoF, so if I were your position I would restart.

But this is completely up to you and what you feel like doing.

Personally, I think you should continue with the story, as an unofficial dynasty. Then you can use the non heir, or Skittles first born as a dynasty founder. I don't think it should be about going for the HoF, it should be about having fun with the story. It would be a shame to dump the story and start over.

I think continue the story, but start a new official HoF DecaDynasty. Pam you're a great storyteller. I think you are entitled to at least one unofficial dynasty, and this is it.

My vote is to continue unofficially, Pam. You've never been into the challenges like me and some of the other hardcore players who always "go for the gold." That's not you. And though it is a nice feather in the hat to make it into the Hall of Fame, the bottom line is — you're a great writer, and that's what this is all about — your story that everyone is really enjoying. :)

I vote continue, but perhaps Starburst or Lemonhead could start an immortal dynasty later on in another town (Hidden Springs or Appellation Planes?). A great dynasty doesn't automatically mean HoF. It means a great story by someone who has great writing skills. Seabody has a great Townie DecaDynasty story on his blog, and he's not going for the HoF.  :)
