Dreamweaver Townie DecaDynasty - Chapter 94: Bad, Bad News

Riesen and Diana are now in the Swap Shop. 

Dove isn't making it easy for me.  A couple of her potential spouses have aged to elder, which narrows her options.  The problem is that she herself doesn't have a preference among the remaining gentlemen.  She's had romantic interactions with the three that I think would be the best, but she doesn't get any wishes for anything more!  I was hoping she would decide for herself.  You'll hear all about it in the next update.  I just wanted to share my frustration!

Maybe she still dodn't get over all the guys in SV so it's hard for her to find love again. Fingers crossed!

Quick question Pam, can't you take a youth potion and use it on one of the elders?

And elderly men can still reproduce, but I can understand actually wanting the next heir's father around for longer than two weeks. This isn't the immortal dynasty where an early death is always a blessing.

Who knows? Maybe Dove will find someone you never even considered. At least the pool of eligible men sounds better than it was back in Sunset Valley.

Chapter 92 - Moving Fast

Once the move to Starlight Shores was complete, things started moving quickly for the family.  Dove had gigs all over town and even had Sing-A-Grams on the very day they arrived at their new home.  She was level 6 or 7 when they made the move and Dove progressed easily to level 10 with all of the different venues.  There certainly was nothing like this in Sunset Valley.  The decision to move here to further her career was the right one.



Dove also had her adult birthday shortly after moving.  She started having a Midlife Crisis and her first wish was to move to a new house.  Sure, Dove.  That’s really going to happen right now.  Poor Dove ended up getting none of her Midlife Crisis wishes.  Thank goodness it’s over and she’s no longer distracted by it.



Leanna, the merry widow, didn’t spend much time mourning Marcos.  She loved him and was a good wife all those years, but she’s still young enough to start a new life with a new husband.  She had become very good friends with Wayne Martin, then after Marcos died, she asked Wayne to leave his wife and he did.  Leanna and Wayne are now engaged and just waiting for the right time to either have a proper wedding or elope.  They can’t decide which.  Leanna had a great bachelorette party, probably one of the best ones I’ve had recently.  (Please notice in the proposal picture that the ghost of Leanna’s dead husband is in the background playing video games.)













It was during his grandmother’s bachelorette party that Riesen came home from boarding school.  He’s all grown up and the time spent away served him well.  His traits are Cat Person, Ambitious, Charismatic, Loved the Cold, and Heavy Sleeper.  The first thing he did upon arriving home was to start a conversation with Karen Kerman, who was one of the party guests.  They found that they got along well and within a day they were engaged.  Riesen’s Lifetime Wish is to be the CEO of a Mega-Corporation, so with that in mind, and also the fact that he will soon have a new wife, he took a job at the Broad Street Business Tower.  Riesen turned out to have a sharp sense of style.











We can’t forget about the cats!  Diana the kitten grew up to be Diana the lovely lady cat.  Here’s a picture of her with her parents.  You can see how she’s a beautiful and perfect mix of the two of them.



With all of these other things working themselves out, it’s finally time for Dove to look to romance.  Out of all the prospective husbands, it comes down to only three after the others aged up to elder or simply wouldn’t do.  We have Richter Steele, who is now a vampire.





We have Isaac Luck, who is remarkably still human.



And, finally, there’s Rich Richmond, who is now a werewolf.



If it were not for Leanna studying Alchemy and making some Potent Cure Elixirs, Dove would be in a world of trouble trying to find a husband.  As it is, she can turn any of them back to human before the wedding.  So, I asked her to flirt with all three of the remaining suitors, as you can see in the pictures.  After all that, Dove didn’t have a single wish to continue with any of them!  No wishes for a date, a first kiss, nothing.  This leaves it up to me to simply pick a husband for her.  It has to be quick, too, because she’s out of time.  Thanks, Dove.

I didn't know about the Social Butterfly traits.  Also didn't know that Rich has two other women chasing him.  They all show up as single, so that's all I cared about.

What's this about buggy cure elixirs?

Isaac is quite fun to play actually. In one of my games he became a rock star and in another he was a vocal legend.

Potent cure elixirs usually work fine, but occasionally they don't completely remove the desired life state. I wouldn't worry about it unless something seems to go wrong while you cure them (such as the colored ring around their portrait remaining, or keeping skin/eye overlays, etc.). And sometimes that can be fixed with another potent cure elixir.

I'd go for Rich now. If he shows up as single in spite of starting off the game with a girlfriend, then maybe story progression was just dropping a hint. I still like Richter but now you can save him for later.

P.s. I read this update during Art class and got my phone taken away. What?! Don't judge! The Dreamweavers are 10 times more important than learning about linear perceptive! I regret nothing!

A widely known and extremely irritating bug, and because the elixir takes very long time to complete the curing, if the non-controlled spouse interests about let's say a waterslide, then it goes wrong with about the possibility of 90%. Usually, I just drink it when the target Sim is in my control, but that of course isn't a possibility in DecaDynasty.

As for Rich's relationships, in the start of the game, he dates Sadie Mason but is also interested of Mercedes May, both girls living under the same roof as he. That causes... well, let's just say the household is maybe not the most stable one in town.

Sure I made at least one spelling mistake.

I've given the Potent Cure Elixir as a test and I didn't see anything go wrong.  The Sim drank the elixir and she looked perfectly normal.  I also got a message that she was a normal human again.  Where does the long time to cure come in?
