Omni Plant

I have already done that, I fed them once and now I cannot get the option to feed them again, so Pam suggested it might be that it does not work because of the cheat, so I am almost done with the last stage of getting the seeds and growing them myself, so will see if there is a difference.  Not sure if anyone else that has gotten then without the cheat has the same problem, but will find out soon.

I think the Omni plant can only be fed once, it produces that thing until it dies.

I'm curious...  where did you come by this information?

To be honest I don't remember, possibly a thread on the Sims 3 site, sorry I can't remember that! 

Ok, thanks.  I was wondering if it was from your own personal experience or if it was a rumor you read somewhere.  Looks like it's a rumor.

Yeah, I can also confirm that this is not necessarily true, because when I played two days ago, I could harvest my omni plant then feed it something completely different.

I harvested the plants just fine, probably just a bug with the bug mode.  Like I said, minor glitches I can deal with, it is the big ones that make me crazy.

Update to my earlier post - I talked to the Omni Plant after I fed it and the next day I was able to harvest it and get the extra books .  After harvesting it needed to be fed again.

Maybe the public/spawned ones just need a good talking to .

Yes you can. I've done that when I don't want to go all the way out to the graveyard at 12PM when i can just wait a day or two to get like 6 deathfish (two omni plants) for my ambrosia.

Okay, I'm not talking about catching fish at the graveyard. I'm talking about feeding my 3 omni plants a deathfish each, and therefore I would get 9 in the day that they can be harvested. What I'm saying is I don't want to waste the time of going out to the graveyard and losing sleep, when it takes 3 minutes to feed the plants.

I had deathfish in my inventory and when I clicked on the omni plants, it said there was nothing in my inventory to feed it.  So at this point, I cannot feed the omni plant the death fish.  I can feed it the books and the other fish though.  In my earlier post, the two other omni plants I could not feed, after the other plants became mature enough to feed, then I could feed those other ones.  Strange, go figure, lol.

Nope...I know I tried it.  I had two deathfish in her inventory and the books from china, it only showed the books from China to feed it.  It does not really matter, her pond has angelfish and I will just go fishing for the deathfish, thought this would be easier though.

Which Omni plant are you trying to feed, though?  The one you grew from seeds or the one you got from buydebug?

Neither one will take it, now the one I bought from buydebug will let me feed it.  Maybe it was lonely, is why the feed option didn't come up before, lol.

Ok, call it a senior moment or whatever.  I am trying to feed the omni plant a deathflower, stupid me, I know you can't do that...deathfish, deathflower, what is the difference, haha..........that is what I get for not paying attention.  I really was not going to post my ignorance, but I thought since I was getting replies, I had better clear it up.  Thanks.  Will pay better attention next time.
