I had a Teen Girl die in the pool...she was only in there a few minutes and had almost full bars so I think it was a glitch...anyway I tried to feed her Ambrosia over and over but she never seemed to notice it...she did have the "Hardly hungry" reward and I'm thinking that might of had something to do with it...took like 4 Sim days to get her to eat it but now I have her back ;D

If sims have been in the pool for too long they start to get the difficult to breath moodlet as well. It just takes longer time until that comes if they have full needs bars. (at least according to one time a similar thing happened to me)

Since this is dealing with pools, I have noticed that occasionally my sims will autonomously get out of the pool because they're "fatigued" or whatever it is that they get after being in the pool for a while, but immediately after they get in the pool. For instance, I tell them to go in the pool, and they get right back out! I know for a fact that they are not fatigued from athletics or martial arts, and their energy bar is practically full. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Sorry to slightly diverge from your question, to which I have no answer, sorry. But now that I think about it, it's possible that it's the fatigued moodlet that makes the sims drown even with full needs bars...

I'm pretty sure this is because swimming in the pool is just like working out, it increases their athletic ability and they eventually do get fatigued from swimming just like any other work out.

Well, yeah, I understand that, but this is before they do anything after getting out of bed in the morning! They do not have the fatigued moodlet, nor have they done anything physical recently. Plus, they're hardly in the pool for 2 sim minutes before they get the speech bubble that indicates that they're drowning, so they get out immediately.

That's really strange, sounds like a glitch in the game.  Could they be hydrophobic?  That's the only other explanation I can think of.

This had gotten away from the original topic of ghosts, so I split it into a new topic.

No, they're not hydrophobic. Something that may be of importance that I just thought of: this only happens on the home lot, not in the public pools.

It sounds like a bug, is it the same familly on the same lot using the same pool? Or does it happen with other famillies with pools?

Hmmm, good question. It was the same family on the same lot each time. I guess it was a glitched family or something.

Something I'm seeing a lot on the forum is people doing mass quoting. It's really unnecessary and it's best not to force players to reread through 4+ posts. For example, jmz's post above is really only a response to AriaGirl's most recent post. So, there doesn't need to be 3 additional ones. Anyway, soapbox turned off now. :) Just please keep this in mind everyone. Thanks.

I agree, Metro.  But I've been having a little trouble with the partial quotes.  I haven't been able to get them to render properly.

Whoops! Thanks for sharing this, as I would have never thought to do this! I'll go ahead and edit it, unless you want it to be an example. I'll wait for your call on that.

Hmm...explain a little more. You've got missing quote tags if you don't do a full quote of everything?
